Optimizing supply chain and enhancing Vietnam trade

On November 1, 2024, in Shanghai, China, the workshop "Optimizing supply chains and enhancing Vietnam - China trade" took place.


Accordingly, Saigon Newport Corporation (TCSG) coordinated with the Shanghai Port Federation and the Vietnam Business Association in China to organize a workshop on "Optimizing supply chains and enhancing Vietnam - China trade" to promote extensive and sustainable trade cooperation between businesses of the two countries.

Attending the workshop were delegates: Mr. Nguyen The Tung, Consul General of Vietnam in Shanghai; Mr. Truong Kiet, Deputy Director of Shanghai Trade Commission; Colonel Nguyen Nang Toan, Chairman of TCSG Corporation; Mr. Lu Cheng, Director of Asia-Pacific Port Research Center, and 150 delegates from Chinese shipping lines, customers and logistics enterprises.

In recent years, trade relations between Vietnam and China have made great strides, making important contributions to the economic development of both countries. China is Vietnam's largest import market. In contrast, Vietnam is China's fourth largest trading partner and is an ASEAN country that accounts for a large proportion of China-ASEAN trade.

As a leading port operator and logistics service provider in Vietnam, with more than 55% of Vietnam's import-export container market share going through Saigon Newport Corporation's port facilities. Over the years, Saigon Newport Corporation and major shipping lines in the maritime and logistics sectors of China such as Cosco, SITC, CU Lines, Shanghai Jinjiang, Hede, Sinotrans, Taicang, Ningbo have been cooperating very effectively.

At the workshop, delegates affirmed the importance of optimizing the supply chain and enhancing trade as a bridge for sustainable cooperation and trade connection between Vietnam and China. From expanding infrastructure, applying technology to promoting green solutions, all aim at a common goal: Building an efficient, optimized and adaptable supply chain to the fluctuations of the global economy.

With the message "Cooperation - Sustainable Development", Tan Cang Saigon commits to constantly innovate and improve service capacity and service quality to best meet the needs of partners and customers with the motto: "Come to Tan Cang Saigon - Come to top quality service". TCSG wishes to build a long-term cooperative relationship with Chinese partners not only in the economic field but also in promoting green solutions, minimizing environmental impacts and working together towards the goal of sustainable development.
