Effort to conquer

The moment Le Hoang Phuong was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2023.

After 3 beauty contests, Le Hoang Phuong finally won the prestigious crown. The audience said Phuong "spent her entire youth competing in beauty pageants", what do you want to say about your journey?

I think everyone has a goal to strive for in life. My participation in the beauty pageant is also one of the goals and dreams that I want to conquer.

I once shared that Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 is the last domestic beauty pageant that I will participate in. Therefore, I have cultivated and made a lot of efforts throughout the journey. And luck has smiled on me.

Looking back on my journey, receiving so much support and encouragement from the audience is a great motivation for me to shine. Hopefully in the future, with a new role and mission, I can share many good things with the community.

What is the biggest change for you after becoming a beauty queen?

I find myself just busier, working a little more often, but not much has changed. With quick adaptation, I believe I will be able to do a lot of things.

In addition, in the past, I often arranged my own artistic activities as well as my business. After being crowned, I was fortunate to have a "second family" with a team of brothers and sisters who always loved and supported me in my work. This allowed me to have more time to focus on improving myself as well as developing my cherished plans.

Beauty pageants don't cost much money.

You once revealed that your mother almost had to sell her house to compete in a beauty pageant. What did you invest the most in this time?

It's definitely a mental investment. Without a strong spirit and the enthusiastic support from the audience, I wouldn't have been able to come this far.

I was lucky to have support from many colleagues in the profession in terms of costumes, makeup, image investment... so it really didn't cost me as much money to compete as people think (laughs).

Having your own career as a model and architect, why are you still determined to seek a title in a beauty contest?

I think nothing is ever enough, each of my goals is a step that I have to try to reach instead of standing still. The journey to conquer the crown is one of the dreams I always want to achieve.

This title not only helps me have more opportunities to develop myself, but also helps me do many good things for my family and for society. That is why I still say that I participate in beauty pageants to have the opportunity to change my life, for myself and for everyone.

Becoming a beauty queen, will your other work be affected?

Actually, I still handle work at the company online and everything is still running fine.

Although the nature of the two roles is different, I think that no matter what position I am in, I need to have a professional style, be meticulous, skillful and responsible for my work.

After the contest, the image of Hoang Phuong wearing a T-shirt and shorts working hard at the construction site was widely shared. When you first started this job, did you encounter many difficulties or prejudices because you are a woman?

The obstacles and difficulties I encountered did not come from female prejudice. With the development of modern society, women have many opportunities to express themselves. I also feel that female prejudices seem to have gradually faded in many fields.

The goal is the Miss Grand International crown

The everyday beauty of Miss Le Hoang Phuong.

Phuong's coronation as Miss Universe was predicted by the media and public opinion. As for you, did you ever think you would become Miss Universe?

When entering the competition, I always set the highest goal so that I have to try my best. However, I think that every girl has her own strengths, everyone has efforts and anyone can achieve the highest title.

I am very grateful for the audience's support and love for me. That also partly proves that my journey has left many impressions in the hearts of the audience, and that my efforts have been recognized. I feel like I have been given more motivation on my journey to conquer the beauty queen crown.

This milestone also marks a new version of me in my artistic career.

The audience supported Phuong in the highest position, but also felt sorry for Bui Khanh Linh. What do you think about the girl who held your hand in the most important moment of the competition?

To Phuong, Bui Khanh Linh is a very thoughtful and understanding girl. Every time I met and worked with Linh, I felt her care and warmth. This is also the reason why Linh and I became close very quickly.

Some people also say that you are a bit "old" compared to the current beauty queens?

"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream" - CS Lewis. This is a saying that I always remember before encountering opinions that may "obstruct" my dream.

Having achieved my dream, I can confidently say that it doesn't matter what age you are. It's all about hard work and always wanting to spread good things to this world.

I think that every woman is born with her own beauty. No one can decide whether a girl will be radiantly beautiful or "old" at a certain age. For me, everything in this world is a matter of timing and I believe that I am shining at the right time.

Being crowned Miss at the age of 28, what advantages and disadvantages do you think you have when competing internationally?

I think my advantage is my composure and experience on stage and catwalk. However, I also have my own limits. Currently, I am still trying to improve my skills to perform well in the upcoming competition.

Coming to Miss Grand International 2023, I hope to bring the image of a confident, resilient and strong Vietnamese woman, along with the dynamism of the "ready to work" spirit - ready to do everything.

Are you determined to bring the second Miss Grand International crown to Vietnam?

This is the goal of all girls when becoming a representative of Vietnam in any international beauty contest. I am sure that I am no exception. I will bring the spirit of progress and try my best to Miss Grand International 2023 this time.

Le Hoang Phuong was born in 1995, 1.76m tall, three-round measurements are 87-63-95cm. She has expressive eyes, long legs, tanned skin and a healthy, individual beauty.

She graduated with a good degree in Architecture from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2021. The beauty is currently the CEO of an architectural company, specializing in design and construction.

In addition, Hoang Phuong is also a sought-after model, often taking on the first face and vedette positions of many fashion shows.

Le Hoang Phuong will represent Vietnam at Miss Grand International 2023 held in October at home.
