On the afternoon of June 27, Meritorious Artist Vu Luan met with the media to share about the Cai Luong show project Mao Doan Tinh Giang The (Chung Vo Diem). Here, he received many questions related to the noisy livestream of Meritorious Artist Vu Linh's funeral in March.
Specifically, the rumor that "Vu Luan is doing business on his adoptive father's funeral" by hiring a funeral livestream team caused a stir in public opinion, affecting his reputation.
Upon investigation, Vu Luan learned that it was Hong Phuong who invited the media unit BH Media to film the funeral of artist Vu Linh. According to Vu Luan, he contacted Hong Phuong many times, asking her to correct the matter, but she remained silent.

The artist was attacked with hundreds of critical messages from the online community. Vu Luan kept silent because he wanted to take care of his adoptive father's funeral and did not want to cause a stir before the 49th day.
"When Hong Phuong recorded a video saying that she was the one who signed the media contract and received that amount of money, Hong Loan and I were both surprised. Only then did everyone realize that Vu Luan was also a victim. Up to now, I have not contacted Hong Phuong anymore," Vu Luan shared.
Many viewers misunderstood and texted Vu Luan to apologize. He felt a little sad but felt somewhat comforted when the matter was clear.

“I am just afraid that if I do something wrong, the audience will hate me. But if I do the right and kind thing, everyone will support me. I learned this from Vu Linh's father to live and work honestly,” he said.
After the uproar, Vu Luan recovered his spirit and returned to work. Recently, he spent time and effort preparing for the play Mao Doan Tinh Giang The, which is set to premiere in July.
In the play, Vu Luan plays the role of King Qi Xuan, paired with Meritorious Artist Ngoc Huyen as Chung Vo Diem. The two had recorded this excerpt many years ago. This is the first time the play has been brought to the stage in its entirety.
Remaking a classic play from the 1990s, Vu Luan focused on innovating the content, ensuring it was suitable for popular tastes. In addition to the innovative script, he also considered the acting and setting to bring a modern spirit.
Vu Luan invested 1.2 billion VND in the play. The male artist said the most expensive part was renting the stage and making costumes for the actors, with an average cost of 40-50 million VND per set.

“If I fill the stage, I will only earn 1 billion VND. If I want to break even or make a profit, I have to perform it again for a few nights. I hope the play will be well received to have enough funds and motivation to do this,” he said. After the traditional opera, the male artist plans to exploit the field of social psychology and Vietnamese history in Cai Luong…
In addition to Vu Luan and Ngoc Huyen, the play brings together artists such as: Linh Tam, Hong To, Tan Beo, Le Thanh Thao, Trinh Trinh, Linh Tam... The play is directed by Vu Tran, choreographed by Le Nguyen Truong Giang, and will take place on July 8 at Ben Thanh Theater.
