Seminar on developing reading culture

On November 8, in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Provincial Library organized a book introduction and discussion with speakers on developing a reading culture. This is one of the specialized activities for children in 2024 of the Provincial Library to affirm and spread the value of reading culture in the community.

Speaker Do Thai Dang shares about reading methods for comprehensive development.

At the program, nearly 200 delegates and students from schools in Ha Long City listened to speaker - Dr. Do Thai Dang share on the topic: "Benefits of reading for the comprehensive development of students" with many attractive and meaningful contents such as: The current state of reading culture; basic skills for effective and useful reading; reading methods, towards smart, modern, convenient and effective reading; orientation to help students maintain parallel reading culture and audiovisual culture, spread the passion for reading and reading culture in the school environment... contributing to maintaining and developing reading habits, affirming the value of books for learning and comprehensive development of students.

The program introduced valuable cultural and educational publications, thereby helping readers, especially young readers, gain a deeper understanding of the role of books in life and the journey to adulthood. This was also an opportunity for readers to exchange and interact with speakers; broaden their perspectives and approach different views on books and reading culture. The program was also an opportunity to strengthen the connection between community libraries and school libraries in the area, promote inter-connected activities and develop the library system throughout the province.

Quang Ninh Provincial Library presented the logo of the Bookcase for developing reading culture to Cong Hoa Primary and Secondary School (Cam Pha City).

Also at the program, Quang Ninh Provincial Library presented a bookshelf to develop reading culture to Cong Hoa Primary and Secondary School (Hai Hoa Commune, Cam Pha City). The bookshelf includes 10 bookshelves with 200 diverse books, newspapers, and magazines for students.
