Provincial People's Council delegation meets voters of Nhu Thanh district

On November 12, the delegation of the Provincial People's Council, including delegates: Mai Xuan Binh, Provincial Party Committee member, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Committee; Nguyen Tien Dung, Secretary of the Nhu Thanh District Party Committee, had a meeting with voters of Nhu Thanh district before the 23rd session of the 18th Provincial People's Council.

At the meeting, the representative of the Provincial People's Council Delegation informed the voters of Nhu Thanh district about the expected content and program of the 23rd Session of the 18th Provincial People's Council; reported on the socio-economic situation, national defense and security of the province in the first 10 months of 2024, estimated implementation in 2024 and tasks and solutions to implement key tasks in 2025; reported on the results of handling the recommendations of voters of Nhu Thanh district sent to the 20th Session of the 18th Provincial People's Council.

Voters of Nhu Thanh district expressed their joy and excitement at the results achieved by the province in the first 10 months of 2024. In a democratic and frank atmosphere, voters of Nhu Thanh district made recommendations and reflected to the Provincial People's Council Delegation the contents of people's concern.

Accordingly, voters of Xuan Du commune proposed to consider a mechanism to handle the situation of water flow congestion due to unfinished construction at some locations of bridges and culverts across the road connecting Thanh Hoa to Tho Xuan Airport, from No Hen bridge to provincial road 514 through Xuan Du commune; causing about 30 households in village 13 and about 20 households in village 10, Xuan Du commune, Nhu Thanh district to be flooded for a long time.

Voters of Can Khe commune proposed that there should be a support mechanism for part-time workers in villages and residential groups who quit their jobs (according to Resolution No. 31/NQ-HDND dated July 10, 2024 of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council on the number, titles, and policies for part-time workers at the commune level, in villages and residential groups in Thanh Hoa province). A support mechanism to stimulate demand for localities to expand and concretize rural roads after mobilizing people to donate land according to Directive 24-CT/TU dated July 12, 2024 of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee on the campaign to mobilize people to donate land to invest in renovating, upgrading, and improving infrastructure, focusing on roads in rural and urban areas in the province in a synchronous and modern direction.

Voters also suggested considering a special mechanism to ensure the rights and stabilize the lives of households who have handed over land before the change in the State's policy mechanism. Consider establishing a district-level land fund development center to reduce the task of directly participating in the land clearance councils for land acquisition projects of the district-level Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

After receiving voters' opinions, recommendations and reflections, representatives of the leaders of Nhu Thanh district explained and clarified a number of issues within their authority.
