Find a peaceful place

With the hustle and bustle of modern life, people often seek out the city - a place with enough conditions for work and conveniences for life. But there are still people who choose for themselves a peaceful life, immersed in the poetic nature.

Peaceful scene at "Mr. Binh's cup"

Having the opportunity to visit a friend in Ta Lot hamlet (An Hao commune, Tinh Bien town), I was a bit surprised and interested when witnessing his life. Not too comfortable, not too full, but he created for himself a peaceful life, after the hustle and bustle of food, clothing, rice, and money. To visit Dang Ngoc Binh, I had to run around under the cool bamboo forest. The forest at noon was surprisingly quiet, only the sound of motorbike engines awakened the space. Occasionally, the sound of birds chirping behind the leaves also helped to make the afternoon less monotonous. The cement road was just wide enough for motorbikes to pass, running through the straight bamboo bushes, looking like the scene of an ancient movie.

While admiring the scenery, I lost control of the steering wheel a few times and got a little wobbly. Indeed, for people who travel all year round, this scene is worth enjoying. After a few turns right and left, I finally arrived at "Mr. Binh's cup" as my friend who showed me the way jokingly said. No need to be fancy, just a small table, a few small chairs and a hammock hanging loosely has become Mr. Binh's ideal place to receive guests. Under the bamboo forest, this scene is really "chill".

When I arrived, Mr. Binh was still busy, so he had not gone to the garden yet, but he still told the guests to feel free to rest and explore the natural scenery. From the bamboo garden, I looked up at "Mr. Binh's cup" with a feeling of excitement. Located on a rocky hill about 20m high, Mr. Binh's simple little farm brought a strange feeling of peace. Although the hill was not too high, it was still a bit majestic compared to the surrounding bamboo gardens. The rocks were arranged by nature, plus the human hand painted a few words, bringing its own charm.

I enjoyed climbing the rocky hill to take some photos. Although the rocky hill is not high, it takes a little sweat to reach the top. From the top of the hill, you can see the majestic slopes of Cam Mountain. In the distance, the vast forests still retain their green color under the dry season sun. I don’t know if it was caused by human hands or not, but on the top of the hill there is a Lam Mo tree with its roots, creating a feeling of otherworldliness.

Sitting on the rocky hill, I enjoyed the cool breezes from all four directions. The space was still as quiet as a sheet of paper, making people forget the fatigue after a long trip. Suddenly the sound of a motorbike rang out, I knew Mr. Binh had arrived. We sat under the bamboo forest, asking each other about each person's life and work. Talking about his life, Mr. Binh humbly said: "Like the people living in Ta Lot, I only rely on the forest garden for income. I am not rich, but it is enough to live on."

Mr. Binh said that his main income comes from the bamboo tree. In addition, he also buys the leaves of the Chuc tree around Ta Lot to supply to customers in Ho Chi Minh City. In general, if he saves, he will still have enough to take care of his children's schooling. After finishing all the necessary work of the day, Mr. Binh returns to his "cup". "Coming here, I feel peaceful, relaxed and forget the sorrows of life. Every day I don't come here, I miss this corner of the mountain" - Mr. Binh said.

Mr. Binh's camp is quite small, but enough for a few people to sit and enjoy the scenery. Here, Mr. Binh has the initiative in the water source so he can live comfortably. Thanks to that, he can still plant a few flower bushes around the camp, making the scenery more vibrant. Not only me, many people who come here also love Mr. Binh's hill garden. Sitting and eating, watching the surrounding scenery is really interesting. If eco-tourism can be developed, this is an ideal destination for short experiences in a day.

In addition to being a farmer cultivating hills and orchards, Mr. Binh also participates in the local forest protection force, preventing and fighting forest fires. His daily visits to the orchard are also a way to check the situation in the surrounding area, in order to promptly handle any situation.

After the interesting experiences, we said goodbye to Mr. Binh to return. We walked through the bamboo forest under the setting sun, still feeling a bit regretful. Saying goodbye to my friend, Mr. Binh did not forget to invite me to come back next time, to enjoy the fresh nature and feel the value of peace.
