That was the direction of General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense at the September 2024 online conference organized by the Ministry of National Defense on the morning of October 3 in Hanoi.
Attending at Lang Nu bridge point, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district were comrade Nguyen Trong Hai, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Colonel Nguyen The Luc, Deputy Commander of Army Corps 12, Truong Son Construction Corporation; Head of the Provincial Military Command; leaders of Bao Yen district and people of Lang Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district.
At the conference, comrade Nguyen Trong Hai, Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, reported specifically on the construction location of the resettlement area in Lang Nu village.
Accordingly, Lao Cai province has coordinated with scientists and the University of Mining and Geology to find locations, assess landslide risks and safety, and thereby select a location to build houses for the people of Lang Nu village. Lao Cai province has issued an emergency construction order, procedures have been shortened, site clearance work and design documents have been urgently approved. According to the design, the house foundations are leveled according to the terrain to ensure stability and high aesthetics.
Reporting on the construction plan for the Lang Nu village resettlement area, Colonel Nguyen The Luc said: The resettlement area has an area of about 13 hectares. Up to now, the ground level has been covered by 9 households. According to the plan, the first 4 houses will be installed on October 15, and the determination is to basically complete 40 houses by November 30. Along with that, schools and community centers will be built; infrastructure and internal roads will be completed. The unit will work day and night to meet the schedule.
In his concluding remarks and assigning tasks to the forces participating in the construction of the resettlement area in Lang Nu village, the Minister of National Defense requested the forces to seriously implement and speed up the progress while ensuring safety; always coordinate with local Party committees and authorities during the construction process.
The Minister of National Defense assigned the Commander of Military Region 2, Lao Cai Provincial Military Command, and Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard Command to adjust forces to continue supporting and helping the people of Lang Nu village overcome the consequences of natural disasters, transport materials, and quickly stabilize their lives.
