Continue to rescue 13 victims of human trafficking

On the evening of August 29, information from the Ha Tinh Provincial Police said that the Criminal Police Force - Ha Tinh Provincial Police in coordination with the Lao Ministry of Security's functional agencies had successfully rescued 13 Vietnamese citizens who were victims of human trafficking crimes from Laos and returned them safely to Vietnam.

Previously, the Ha Tinh Provincial Police force coordinated with the Department of Police for Prevention of Human Trafficking Crimes - Lao Ministry of Public Security, the Criminal Police Department, the Border Guard of Ha Tinh Province and other professional units to successfully fight and destroy a criminal organization operating on a particularly large scale of human trafficking and online fraud, arresting 162 subjects in both phases, rescuing 36 victims involved in human trafficking from Laos to Vietnam...

With the spirit of resolutely fighting against crime, the process of expanding the investigation, fighting against the international criminal organization operating across borders, the Criminal Police force of Ha Tinh Provincial Police flexibly used professional measures, exploited information from the subjects, thereby identifying the subjects in this international criminal organization also committed the act of buying and bringing many victims who are Vietnamese people to the Golden Triangle area of Laos for forced labor, training to force them to participate in criminal activities...

The Vietnamese victims are being held in another area of Laos' Golden Triangle Economic Zone.

Faced with that information, the Criminal Police force, Ha Tinh Provincial Police urgently exchanged information, coordinated with the Lao Ministry of Security to deploy plans, continue to rescue 13 victims who are Vietnamese citizens being detained in the Golden Triangle Economic Zone and bring the victims back to Vietnam to ensure safety.

The victims were taken to the authorities.

Currently, Ha Tinh Provincial Police are continuing to investigate and expand the case related to the above international criminal organization, completing the case file to handle the subjects in accordance with the provisions of law.
