In 2024, the total value of the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated at VND 70,946 billion (2010 comparable prices), an increase of 7.02% compared to 2023; growth in each quarter is higher than the previous quarter, with the first quarter increasing by 4.75%, the second quarter increasing by 6.50%, the third quarter increasing by 7.41% and the fourth quarter increasing by 9.12%, ranking 9th out of 13 provinces in the Mekong Delta region and 43rd nationwide. By economic sector, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 4%; the industry and construction sector increased by 10.37% and the service sector increased by 7.28%...
At current prices, GRDP reached 137,272 billion VND, up 11.7% over the same period, equivalent to an increase of 14,326 billion VND, accounting for 9.7% and ranking 3rd out of 13 provinces in the Mekong Delta. GRDP per capita reached 76.4 million VND/person/year, up 7.8 million VND/person/year compared to 2023, ranking 8th out of 13 provinces in the Mekong Delta.
State budget revenue in the area is estimated at VND 11,785 billion, reaching 133.9% of the estimate and increasing by 15.2% over the same period; of which, domestic revenue is VND 11,400 billion, reaching 133.6% of the estimate, increasing by 14.7% over the same period. State budget expenditure is estimated at VND 21,990 billion, reaching 152.1% of the estimate, increasing by 28.1% over the same period.
The average consumer price index (CPI) for the 12 months of 2024 compared to the same period last year increased by 4.03% (urban areas increased by 3.75% and rural areas increased by 4.10%).
In addition, the total social investment capital is estimated at VND 51,100 billion, reaching 101.4% of the plan, up 10.9% over the same period. It is estimated that by the end of 2024, the total number of enterprises operating in the area will be about 6,400. In addition, vocational counseling, employment, labor law and other counseling activities were provided to 20,661 workers, down 28.2% over the same period, reaching 103.3% of the plan.
