Although the flower display area is quite spacious, the roads are clear, and the landscape is quite beautiful, the number of customers coming to buy flowers is very small, many business people take a nap in the tents after a long night of staying up late.

Mr. Pham Nghia (Son Pho 1 block, Cam Chau ward) sells crystal chrysanthemums on Ton Duc Thang street with a sad face.

He said that a few years ago, he and many other business people sold flowers on Tran Hung Dao and Nguyen Hue streets in the city, and the number of visitors coming to see and buy flowers was quite large. In less than a week, he sold more than 300 pots of chrysanthemums.

This year, Hoi An has decided to bring the Spring Flower Festival to Trang Keo. Mr. Nghia has transported more than 100 pots of chrysanthemums to sell here, each pot costs 600-700 thousand VND, but the number of customers coming to buy flowers is sparse. Currently, he has only 3 pots of flowers.

“Selling ornamental flowers on the streets in the city is twice as crowded as up here, because people going to the market and tourists can come in to admire and conveniently order flowers to bring home to decorate for Tet.

Besides, the cost of transporting flowers and ornamental plants to customers' homes is only about 80 thousand VND/trip, but the price here is double because the route is far. I hope that in the days before Tet, more customers will come to buy flowers, otherwise it is easy to lose money" - Mr. Nghia shared.

A green mai trader on the shore of Trang Keo 1 Lake said: "The city organizes a Spring Flower Fair in Trang Keo area, so many people and tourists do not know much about it, so our flower business is facing difficulties. At this time, I have only sold a few pots of green mai, I do not know if the number of customers will increase or decrease in the coming days.

If the city informs the communes, wards, and flower and ornamental plant businesses of the changes to the organization of the At Ty Spring Flower Festival 2025 early, it will be more convenient. At that time, we will reduce the number of orders for flowers and ornamental plants from the gardens, reducing the risk of unsold goods."

According to many flower traders in Hoi An, compared to this time in 2024, the number of customers coming to buy flowers has decreased by 30%. Along with the worry of fewer customers buying flowers, they are also afraid of rain, because according to the weather forecast, the temperature in Quang Nam in the coming days will decrease, even with light rain in some places. If the weather is weak and rainy, the flowers will bloom slowly and even be damaged quite a bit.

It is known that Hoi An City People's Committee organizes the At Ty Spring Flower Festival 2025 in Trang Keo area - Cam Ha commune with a total area of ​​about 6,000 - ^8,000m2 . This activity takes place from December 19 to December 29 of the lunar calendar.

Ornamental flower businesses are selected by lot with a maximum area of ​​about 16 - 18m²/lot; OCOP entities and entities with typical rural industrial products, craft village products, and ornamental plants can contact the city's departments for support in participating in the sale.

The city government does not collect fees for all households participating in the 2025 At Ty Spring Flower Festival. Relevant sectors and localities focus on supporting electricity, water, sanitation, etc. for participating households to ensure the best business conditions.
