In the warm sunshine at Beijing airport, welcoming Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh were leaders of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Nong Dung; Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hung Ba; and Director of the Protocol Department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Many overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese students in China welcomed the Prime Minister with flags and flowers as soon as he got off the plane.

Accompanying the Prime Minister were Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Minister and Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son; Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh, Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee Nguyen Hoang Anh, Deputy Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu; Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee Bui Van Thach. The Prime Minister's working trip was also attended by leaders of a number of ministries, branches and localities.

A large number of overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese students in China went to the airport to welcome the Prime Minister and the delegation.

This is the first official visit of a Vietnamese Prime Minister to China in 7 years. The visit takes place in the context of 2023 being the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries. In the evening of the same day, after arriving in Beijing, the Prime Minister will meet with diplomatic officials and the community.

After the official welcoming ceremony chaired by Chinese Premier Li Qiang on the morning of June 26, at noon the same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation will take a high-speed train to Tianjin to attend the 14th Pioneers Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF Tianjin).

On June 26-27, the Prime Minister will attend important sessions of the WEF conference and have bilateral meetings on the sidelines with leaders of several countries attending the conference.

The WEF Tianjin was attended by many government leaders and more than 1,000 businesses from around the world. The fact that the Prime Minister was one of four key government leaders invited to attend this conference shows the importance that the WEF and the international business community attach to the position and role of the Vietnamese economy, as well as the determination to reform and open up the Vietnamese economy.

Welcoming Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at Beijing airport were leaders of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Nong Dung; Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hung Ba; Director of the Protocol Department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

In his speech at the conference, the Prime Minister will make a number of recommendations related to public-private partnership models, coordination models between the Government and enterprises, as well as measures to attract green and sustainable financial sources into the Vietnamese economy.

On the evening of June 27, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will meet with General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and several other Chinese leaders such as Chairman of the National People's Congress Zhao Leqi and Chairman of the National People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning.

On June 28, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will meet with friendly figures from the two countries, attend the Vietnam-China Business Forum, receive a number of Chinese businesses, visit the new Xiong'an area, and meet with leaders of Hebei province before leaving Beijing for Hanoi.

According to Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Vu, this visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will contribute to enhancing political trust, promoting the finding of solutions to remaining differences, including maritime issues, enhancing exchanges between people and localities of the two sides, thereby contributing to making the relationship between the two countries more stable, more substantial and more sustainable, contributing to peace, stability and cooperation in the region and the world.
