Prime Minister presides over the celebration of National Digital Transformation Day

On October 12, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the National Committee on Digital Transformation, chaired the program to celebrate National Digital Transformation Day 2024.

Attending online at Quang Ninh bridge were leaders representing departments, branches and localities in the province.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh delivered the opening speech.

In his opening speech, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: Digital transformation is an inevitable trend, an objective requirement, a strategic choice, and a top priority for rapid and sustainable development; it is the cause of the entire Party, the entire army, and the entire people; contributing to realizing the aspiration of building a strong, prosperous country, with a prosperous and happy people...

On April 22, 2022, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 505/QD-TTg, taking October 10 every year as National Digital Transformation Day to accelerate the progress of implementing tasks on national digital transformation, effectively implementing the National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with a vision to 2030. In 2024, national digital transformation has the theme: Developing the digital economy with 4 pillars of information technology industry, digitalization of economic sectors, digital governance, digital data - Important driving force for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development.

The program to celebrate the National Digital Transformation Day 2024 is the third consecutive year it has been held, demonstrating the determination of the Party, the State, the political system, the business community and the people of the whole country to join hands in national digital transformation, developing the digital economy, digital society and digital citizens. This is also a message that clearly demonstrates Vietnam's determination to pursue the digital transformation revolution in a profound, comprehensive, substantive and effective manner to promote rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, improve the material and spiritual life of the people and modernize national governance, bringing benefits to all people and the country.

In Quang Ninh, the province has identified digital transformation as a trend and a driving force to create breakthroughs for sustainable and comprehensive development. On that basis, the province has issued a Resolution and developed a Project on digital transformation based on the viewpoints, objectives and directions in the Resolutions of Congresses at all levels and the Government's management to serve as a basis for implementation.

By 2025 and the coming period, Quang Ninh strives to be in the top 5 provinces and cities leading the country in comprehensive digital transformation; in the leading group in the country in network safety and security... Up to now, the province has completed many goals and tasks, ensuring close progress; initially bringing conveniences and enjoyment values ​​to people in daily life; creating favorable conditions for organizations and enterprises in carrying out investment and business procedures...

At the conference, based on suggestions from the Prime Minister, delegates focused on fully, objectively and accurately assessing the results achieved in national digital transformation in 2024, especially in the digital economy; proposing strategic orientations, viewpoints, tasks and key solutions for digital transformation and digital economic development. Along with that, there were dialogues and discussions with businesses and typical members of the Community Digital Technology Group.
