Specifically, the Hanoi Tax Department said that in the first 10 months of 2023, the unit collected VND 323,073 billion in budget revenue, reaching 99.1% of the estimate; an increase of 42.9% over the same period last year.
Meanwhile, regarding the implementation of the policy of tax exemption, reduction, extension, and refund, a representative of the Hanoi Tax Department said that the number of subjects eligible for value-added tax (VAT) extension is 16,998 subjects, with the tax amount extended from March to August 2023 and the first and second quarters of 2023 being 9,198 billion VND.
The total amount of corporate income tax extended in the first and second quarters of 2023 is VND5,082 billion. The number of business households and individuals eligible for VAT and personal income tax extension is 213, with a total extended tax amount of VND22 billion.
Discussing solutions for budget collection in the final stage, Director of Hanoi Tax Department Vu Manh Cuong said that the unit has thoroughly informed all civil servants to strictly and fully implement regulations on responsibilities and obligations according to regulations.
In particular, the Tax Department established public inspection teams to evaluate the performance of public servants' duties, especially in cases related to business household management.
Notably, the unit has increased inspections at taxpayers' headquarters and real estate, automobile and motorbike registration offices; stepped up management, inspection and supervision of the issuance and use of electronic invoices in accordance with the direction of the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Taxation to promptly detect and handle violations of the law.
The leader of the Hanoi Tax Department also said that the tax department will continue to implement the Project to strengthen tax management for business households and individuals; deploy the Business Household Digital Map on the eTax Mobile application to standardize tax registration data, tax obligations, and financial obligations according to the plan and roadmap of the General Department of Taxation;
At the same time, complete the project on e-commerce tax management, increase data collection of organizations and individuals buying and selling through e-commerce platforms... to exploit and increase revenue; promptly and properly implement tax exemption, reduction and extension to support businesses and people in developing production and business.
Regarding this issue, the leaders of the General Department of Taxation have noted to the Hanoi Tax Department that it is necessary to continue to strengthen the review and synthesis of revenue sources and taxes, and clearly report specific data to have solutions to ensure revenue management in the last months of the year.
At the same time, seek the support of the Hanoi Party Committee and People's Committee to closely monitor revenue sources; focus on timely and effectively implementing groups of solutions to manage revenue, prevent revenue loss and tax evasion to ensure the completion of budget collection tasks in the area.
