Press release on Vietnam Global Ancestral Day - Ancestor Commemoration and Honoring the Descendants of Hung Kings Globally 2024

GLOBAL VIETNAMESE NATIONAL DAY – ANCESTORS' DEATH ANNIVERSARY & HONOR OF THE DESCENDANTS OF KING HUNG WORLDWIDE 2024

First of all, we would like to send our respectful greetings and sincere thanks to the press, media agencies, compatriots, overseas Vietnamese and international friends who have always made efforts to preserve the cultural heritages of humanity, especially the heritage of Hung King worship of Vietnam.

Continuing the success of the past 9 years, this year, the Global Vietnam National Ancestor Day Project Board continues to coordinate with organizations, individuals, associations, overseas Vietnamese communities, intellectuals, scientists and international friends to directly and online organize the Global Vietnam National Ancestor Day - Ancestor Commemoration Ceremony & Honoring the Descendants of the Hung Kings Globally 2024, with the theme Peace - Ancestor's Last Wish, according to a common scenario, including the following main activities:

(1) In coordination with the Vietnamese Community in Saint Petersburg and the Ho Chi Minh Institute, Saint Petersburg State University, Russian Federation, to organize the key program in 2024 and burn incense to celebrate the Hung King's death anniversary in the countries where the Project Board has placed the statue of King Hung .

(2) In coordination with the Foreign Information Department, the Vietnamese Community in Saint Petersburg organized a Happy Vietnam photo exhibition in the Russian Federation .

(3) Cooperate with the Berlin-Gesundbrunnen Academy of Music (Germany) to premiere the song Song of Peace .

(4) Coordinate with organizations to introduce the Global Vietnamese National Day Project at the Influential Vietnamese Forum in Paris (March 2024); in Poland (April 2024); in Rome, Italy (April 2024).

- The online program will be held at 8:00 p.m. on March 10, 2024 lunar calendar (April 18, 2024 solar calendar).

- Program streaming system: Fanpage Vietnam National Day Global/ https://www.facebook.com/quoctovietnamtoancau, Hung King TVglobal, Hanoi Cable Television (HITV), Future Now (with members in 178 countries and territories); especially with the support of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the program will be broadcast on the TV Channel and live on Fanpage Vnews, Vietnam News Agency, and at the same time reported and shared on many Fanpage channels, press - media of Vietnam, overseas Vietnamese and international.

This is a cultural event of special significance not only for the Vietnamese community living, studying, researching and working abroad, but also for international friends who love Vietnam.

This program has been maintained and organized annually by the Global Vietnam National Day Project Board according to a common scenario (from 2015 to present), aiming to create a common cultural day - connecting Vietnamese people around the world and international friends, building a solid cultural bridge of friendship, building sincere friendship between Vietnam and international friends.

Over the past 9 years, the Vietnam Ancestral Day Global Project Board (Strategy for coordinating the organization of Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and Vietnam Day globally) (VAG) (2015) has coordinated with associations, overseas Vietnamese communities in various countries, Vietnamese agencies, local governments and international friends to organize the Hung King statue installation ceremony in more than 10 countries and territories around the world; directly and online organize the Hung King's Commemoration Ceremony & honor the descendants of Hung Kings globally, connecting overseas intellectual delegates and international friends from nearly 50 countries on all five continents (see more information about the project below).

In particular, in 2018, the project was supported in writing by the Prime Minister to continue implementing the Global Vietnamese Ancestral Day in countries with a large number of overseas Vietnamese and to develop it into a national scientific topic. From 2019 to present, the Global Vietnamese Ancestral Day Project Board has been supported by ICI International (a non-profit organization operating in the field of intercultural and scientific research in Austria) with international legal status to continue spreading the culture of Hung King worship of Vietnam to the world.
