On the morning of March 28, Hai Phong Port held a ceremony to welcome the Pancon Glory ship to the port, marking the first operation of the IQH service route at Tan Vu Port. This is the second new service route to be put into operation in 2025, continuing to affirm the key role of Hai Phong Port in the regional supply chain, while creating momentum for trade development between Vietnam and international partners.

The IQH service, operated by the alliance of three shipping lines Dongjin, Dongyoung and Pan Continental, officially connects Incheon (South Korea) – Qingdao (China) – Hai Phong (Vietnam) – Shekou (China) – Xiamen (China) – Incheon (South Korea). The expansion of this shipping route will not only help increase the cargo flow through Hai Phong Port but also establish a stable trade corridor between three important economies in the region.

The event of welcoming the IQH route marks an important milestone for Hai Phong Port, especially in the context of increasingly fierce competition in the logistics industry. The fact that international shipping lines continue to choose Hai Phong Port as a destination is a clear demonstration of the port's operational capacity, services and professional operating system that it is constantly improving.

Over the years, Hai Phong Port has focused on optimizing operations, improving service quality and investing heavily in infrastructure to increase value for customers. Thanks to these efforts, the port has continuously attracted new service routes, maintaining its position as the leading container port in the Northern region. Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thang - Head of Hai Phong Port Business Department, emphasized: “The opening of the IQH service route is a testament to the continuous development of Hai Phong Port. Aiming to improve exploitation capacity and expand market share, in 2025, Hai Phong Port will focus on investing heavily in infrastructure and equipment. The improvement of shipping channels and expansion of turning basins will help the port improve its ability to receive large tonnage ships, while increasing exploitation efficiency. At the same time, the equipment system at Dinh Vu Port and Tan Vu Port will also be supplemented and upgraded, optimizing the cargo loading and unloading process, ensuring flexibility and efficiency in operation. In addition to improving facilities, Hai Phong Port also promotes digitalization of processes, helping to simplify procedures and create maximum convenience for customers as well as shipping lines in cargo delivery activities. With the advantage of geographical location, synchronous investment in infrastructure and open cooperation spirit.
