Ms. Hue said that with her family’s experience in making cakes, the couple continued to look for a larger facility to learn more, determined to stick with the profession. From the knowledge they learned and their own experience, they made green bean cakes, red bean cakes, sesame cakes, and moon cakes by themselves.
The ingredients for making cakes are glutinous rice flour, green bean flour, sesame, eggs, red bean flour, white bean flour, brown sugar, etc., which are abundant in the countryside. Currently, Ms. Hue’s facility has produced dozens of types of cakes, with more diverse designs to meet customer needs.
When she first started her business, Ms. Hue mainly made cakes by hand. But later, she realized that to go further and be more sustainable, she had to buy machinery and equipment to serve production to make the cakes more delicious, more even, and ensure food hygiene and safety. Ms. Hue bought flour milling machines, dough kneading machines, frying machines, cake steaming machines, dryers, packaging machines...

“Thanks to the support of machines, the production stages are less laborious, faster, saving time, effort, reducing costs, and lowering product prices,” said Ms. Hue.
Ms. Hue said that the facility is constantly striving to “renew” itself, will continue to purchase more machinery and equipment to improve production capacity, increase competitiveness, continue to research to make more attractive and delicious cakes. At the same time, research to participate in the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program so that the My Huong cake brand can go further.
“The factor that helps us stay in this business is constantly improving the quality, diversifying product designs, and creating reasonable prices that are suitable for consumers. Even though the profit is small, if the number of cakes sold is large, the business still has a good profit,” said Ms. Hue.
