Chung cake cooking contest to offer to the Hung Kings

On April 3 and 4, the Management Board of the National Historical and Cultural Park coordinated with the People's Committee of Thu Duc City and the Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City to organize the 7th Chung cake wrapping and cooking contest in 2025.

37 teams compete in wrapping banh chung

The competition took place at the festival grounds and camp grounds in the Hung Kings Memorial Temple (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) with the competition of 37 teams.

According to the organizers, this year's banh chung wrapping and cooking contest has the participation of military units, police, districts under the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Thu Duc City People's Committee, and wards under the People's Committee of Thu Duc City;

Units under the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation; food establishments that meet standards for serving tourists under the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture.

After wrapping the banh chung, the teams cook, display, decorate and present the meaning of their work.

The products that win high prizes at the contest will be offered to the Hung Kings on the occasion of the Hung Kings' death anniversary at the Hung Kings Memorial Temple and the Temple of Lord Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh.

The Banh Chung wrapping and cooking contest is one of the annual activities held to educate the tradition of patriotism, preserve, maintain and promote the cultural values ​​of the nation.

This contest also contributes to raising awareness, educating historical traditions, and looking back to the nation's roots.

Many activities on Hung King's death anniversary

The Hung King's death anniversary and flower offering ceremony to Lord Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh will take place on the morning of April 7 (the 10th day of the third lunar month).

The 16th Pride of the Dragon and Fairy Race Traditional Camp in 2025 was organized by the Management Board of the National Historical and Cultural Park in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, on April 7 and 8, at the campsite - Hung Kings Memorial Temple.

On this occasion, the Management Board of the National Historical and Cultural Park also coordinated with Fahasa Company of Thu Duc City to display and sell cultural, social, historical books... to serve the people on April 6 and 7; organize traditional martial arts performances, dragon dances and festival drums at 7:00 p.m. on April 6 and 9:00 a.m. on April 7 at the square stage - Hung Kings Memorial Temple.

In addition, the organizing committee also organizes art programs to serve the people such as: traditional musical instrument concert performance at 7:00 a.m. on April 7, art performance at 7:30 p.m. on April 6 and 7...

The Management Board of the National Historical and Cultural Park coordinated with local religious establishments to serve free vegetarian food to people visiting the temple from 11am to 1pm on April 7 (the 10th day of the third lunar month) in the area near the Hung Kings Memorial Temple Square and the area of ​​the Temple of Lord Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh.
