Thanh Loi promotes the movement to encourage learning and talent

The elderly in Thanh Loi commune always care about preserving and promoting the cultural traditions and studiousness of their homeland.

In order to build the movement of encouraging learning, encouraging talents, and building a learning society that is increasingly strong, the Commune Learning Promotion Association has always received the attention and direction of the Party Committee, the support and facilitation of the government, and the participation of organizations from the commune to the hamlets. After Thanh Loi commune was merged from the three communes of Lien Bao, Thanh Loi, and Tan Thanh, the Commune Learning Promotion Association has stabilized its organization with 60 executive committee members. The Association has proactively coordinated with sectors, organizations, and schools to promote propaganda to raise awareness among people; strived to develop members; continued to launch emulation movements to build learning families, communities, and learning units, and to arouse the tradition of studiousness of the homeland. Most parents are very interested in creating the most favorable conditions for their children to study, and at the same time closely coordinated with schools and local organizations to care about education and encourage children to strive to become good children and good students.

The Party Committee and the People's Committee of the commune have created all conditions for clans and hamlets to establish branches, study promotion committees and actively participate in the movement to build learning families, clans and communities. Up to now, the grassroots association organizations have all established operating regulations, specific assignments, quarterly and annual activity schedules, linked to the building of learning families and clans with major local movements. The Commune Study Promotion Association has effectively organized the work of mobilizing agencies, socio-political organizations, and businesses to support and contribute to the fund to help poor students overcome difficulties and rise up. Up to now, the Association's fund of the whole commune has over 120 million VND to promptly encourage and develop the movement to encourage learning and talent, and to commend typical individuals, families, clans and communities in the annual study promotion movement. In 2024, Tan Thanh unit alone rewarded 28 groups, cadres, teachers and 107 students with over 32 million VND; supported 30 million VND for kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools to build schools that meet national standards; spent over 14 million VND on activities serving the work of promoting learning and talent.

Many clans and villages have chosen the death anniversary of their ancestors or the Mid-Autumn Festival to hold ceremonies to report their achievements and reward their descendants to encourage their spirit of striving to improve in their studies. A typical example is the Vu Tay clan, one of the famous clans with a tradition of studiousness with many successful people. Currently, the clan has more than 600 families living and working in many places with 3 professors, associate professors, 8 doctors, 8 masters working in many fields and professions. Notable is senior pharmacist Vu Thu Phuong, born in 1965 - the person who developed traditional medicine, successfully prepared many types of drugs and products in the form of syrup, soluble granules, capsules such as PQA asthma medicine, PQA syrup to help clear the airways for people with coughs and asthma; Dr. Vu Ngoc Hai, born in 1981, Head of Science and Technology Department, Phenikaa University (Hanoi)... With solidarity and preserving the tradition of studiousness, every family values ​​learning and encourages the movement of promoting learning and talent. The clan regularly attaches importance to the organization, strengthening the operating apparatus, maintaining and keeping the meeting order of the executive committee of the association to grasp the situation and promptly resolve difficulties to encourage the learning of children, especially students from disadvantaged families. In addition to the amount of money contributed to the association fund of each family, the executive committee of the clan's study promotion association also calls on families with economic conditions and families with many successful children, children who are working and doing business far away to contribute to the fund to have funds to encourage and help children in the clan to strive to excel in their studies.

The activities of encouraging learning, encouraging talents, and building a learning society in Thanh Loi have truly become a large-scale social movement, contributing to the development of the local education and training career. Every year, the commune has mobilized 100% of school-age children to go to school, no student has to drop out of school, over 90% of students after graduating from junior high school are admitted to high schools, the rest continue to study at Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers. The number of students passing the entrance exams to universities and colleges is increasing. Schools are always in the top of the district. The whole commune has 100% of villages and residential groups registered and recognized as learning communities. The number of learning units registered and recognized is 100%.
