Travel demand during Lunar New Year is expected to increase
Specifically:
1. Means of transport from Ho Chi Minh City to the northern provinces according to the route:
- Route 1 (for all types of vehicles): New Eastern Bus Station → National Highway 1 → Dong Nai Bridge → Vung Tau Intersection → National Highway 51 → Vo Nguyen Giap Street (Bien Hoa City bypass) → National Highway 1 (Dau Giay Intersection) → northern provinces. Or New Eastern Bus Station → National Highway 1 → Dong Nai Bridge → Vung Tau Intersection overpass → National Highway 1 (Dau Giay Intersection) → northern provinces.
- Route 2 (for cars): New Eastern Bus Station → National Highway 1 → Dong Nai Bridge → Vung Tau Intersection → National Highway 51 → Long Thanh - Phan Thiet Expressway → northern provinces.
2. From northern provinces to Ho Chi Minh City:
- Route 1 (for all types of vehicles): Northern provinces → National Highway 1 (Dau Giay Intersection) → Vo Nguyen Giap Street (Bien Hoa City bypass) → National Highway 51 → Vung Tau Intersection → Dong Nai Bridge → National Highway 1 → New Eastern Bus Station. Or Northern provinces → National Highway 1 (Dau Giay Intersection) → Vung Tau Intersection overpass → Dong Nai Bridge → New Eastern Bus Station.
- Route 2 (for cars): northern provinces → National Highway 1 → Phan Thiet - Long Thanh Expressway → National Highway 51 → Vung Tau Intersection → Dong Nai Bridge → National Highway 1 → New Eastern Bus Station.
3. From Ho Chi Minh City to the provinces of the Southeast and Central Highlands:
- Route 1 (for all vehicles): Mien Dong Bus Station → National Highway 13 → National Highway 14 (or DT 741).

- Route 4 (for cars): National Highway 1 (Dau Giay Intersection) → Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway → Expressway access road → Mai Chi Tho Street → Cat Lai overpass → Vo Nguyen Giap Street → Saigon Bridge → Dien Bien Phu Street → Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street → Mien Dong Bus Station.
5. From Ho Chi Minh City to the Western provinces:
- Route 1 (for cars): Mien Tay Bus Station → Kinh Duong Vuong Street → National Highway 1 → expressway access road → Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway → National Highway 1 → Western provinces.

6. From the Western provinces to Ho Chi Minh City:
- Route 1 (for cars): Western provinces → Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway → Expressway access road → National Highway 1 → Kinh Duong Vuong Street → Mien Tay Bus Station.
- Route 2 (for all vehicles): National Highway 1 (Long An Province) → National Highway 1 → Kinh Duong Vuong Street → Mien Tay Bus Station.
- Route 3 (for all vehicles): National Highway 50 → Nguyen Van Linh Street → National Highway 1 → Kinh Duong Vuong Street → Mien Tay Bus Station.
- Route 4 (for all types of vehicles): Route N2 → Provincial Road 8 → National Highway 22 (An Suong Bus Station) → Truong Chinh Street. Or Route N2 → Provincial Road 824 (Long An Province) → Nguyen Van Bua Street → National Highway 22 (An Suong Bus Station) → Truong Chinh Street.
In addition, the HCM City Department of Transport requested the Departments of Transport of Tien Giang, Long An, Dong Nai and Binh Duong provinces to direct relevant units to install additional traffic signs. The Traffic Police of the provinces will support the reinforcement of traffic control forces at intersections at risk of traffic congestion.
The People's Committee of Thu Duc City and related districts and towns of Ho Chi Minh City shall develop a plan to deploy forces to regulate traffic and maintain security and order at bus stations such as: New Eastern Bus Station, Eastern Bus Station, Western Bus Station, An Suong Bus Station..., wharfs, ferry terminals such as: Cat Lai ferry, Binh Khanh ferry; Saigon station, Tan Son Nhat airport, routes to and from the city gateway... to ensure traffic safety and order and order on the sidewalks so that people can travel conveniently and safely.
