Trucks and containers are restricted from traveling from Tay Ninh and Dong Nai to the center of Ho Chi Minh City to ensure order and limit congestion during the national event from February 20 to February 23.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has just issued an urgent notice on a plan to restrict traffic for trucks and semi-trailers on a number of key routes connecting the city with neighboring provinces.
On February 20, trucks from Tay Ninh to Ho Chi Minh City will be restricted from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Trucks and semi-trailers with a load capacity of 5 tons or more will be restricted from traveling from Tay Ninh to the central area of Ho Chi Minh City via National Highway 22 (Phan Van Khai, Le Quang Dao) through District 12, Hoc Mon, and Cu Chi.
Alternative route:
Option 1: Phan Van Khai → Provincial Road 7 → Provincial Road 2 → Provincial Road 8 → Provincial Road 9 (Ha Duy Phien) → Dang Thuc Vinh → Le Van Khuong → National Highway 1 (Do Muoi).
Option 2: Phan Van Khai → Provincial Road 8 → DT823 → My Hanh → Duc Hoa Thuong → DT824 → DT10 → National Highway 1 (Le Duc Anh).
On February 23, trucks from Ho Chi Minh City to Tay Ninh will be restricted from 12:30 to 15:30. Trucks and semi-trailers with a load capacity of 5 tons or more will be restricted from traveling from the center of Ho Chi Minh City to Tay Ninh on Le Quang Dao and Phan Van Khai routes (Districts 12, Hoc Mon, and Cu Chi).
Alternative route:
Option 1: National Highway 1 (Do Muoi) → Le Van Khuong → Dang Thuc Vinh → Provincial Road 9 (Ha Duy Phien) → Provincial Road 8 → Provincial Road 2 → Provincial Road 7 → Phan Van Khai.
Option 2: National Highway 1 (Le Duc Anh) → DT10 → DT824 → Duc Hoa Thuong → My Hanh → DT823 → Provincial Road 8 → Phan Van Khai.
On the morning of February 23, trucks from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai will be restricted from 6am to 9am. Trucks and semi-trailers with a load capacity of 5 tons or more will be restricted from traveling from the center of Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai on Mai Chi Tho, Vo Nguyen Giap, Hanoi Highway, and National Highway 1 (through Thu Duc City).
Alternative route:
Dien Bien Phu → Hang Xanh Roundabout → Xo Viet Nghe Tinh → National Highway 13 → Pham Van Dong → Hoang Cam → National Highway 1K → Nguyen Ai Quoc.
On the afternoon of February 23, trucks from Dong Nai to Ho Chi Minh City will be restricted from entering the city between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Trucks and semi-trailers with a load capacity of 5 tons or more will be restricted from moving from Dong Nai to the center of Ho Chi Minh City on National Highway 1, Hanoi Highway, Vo Nguyen Giap, and Mai Chi Tho (through Thu Duc City).
Alternative route:
Option 1: National Highway 1 → DT743A → My Phuoc Tan Van → National Highway 1K → Hoang Cam → Pham Van Dong → National Highway 13 → Dinh Bo Linh → Dien Bien Phu.
Option 2: National Highway 51 → Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway → Mai Chi Tho → Vo Nguyen Giap → Dien Bien Phu.
