Fishing boat of fishermen in Hue was sunk by big waves at sea

On the afternoon of March 31, Mr. Dang Van Hoa, Chief of Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue (PCTT and TKCN) of Hue City, said that the unit had just sent a document to the Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Quang Ngai Province to request support for the rescue of two fishing boats of fishermen in Hue City that sank and had a steering problem, drifting in the middle of the sea of ​​Quang Ngai.

Previously, at around 11:30 p.m. on March 30, fishing boat number TTH-912.35 TS owned by Mr. Huynh Giao (residing in Loc Tri commune, Phu Loc district, Hue city) was fishing in the Hoang Sa fishing ground on the way to shore when it was sunk by waves at a location about 16 nautical miles south of Ly Son island.

Recently, many fishing boats of fishermen in Hue City have had accidents and were sunk by sea waves.

At this time, there were 3 crew members on the fishing boat TTH-912.35 TS and then these crew members were promptly rescued by the fishing boat TTH-997.77 TS owned by Mr. Mai Chanh (residing in Vinh Ha commune, Phu Vang district, Hue city) and brought safely onto the boat.

However, after rescuing the crew members in distress, Mr. Chanh's fishing boat had a steering problem and had to drift about 20 nautical miles from My A estuary (Quang Ngai province), in weather conditions with waves and winds of level 5-6.

Faced with this situation, the Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Hue City issued a document requesting the Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Quang Ngai Province to support and notify owners of vehicles and captains of fishing boats in the above area to assist the TTH-912.35 TS ship in distress and the TTH-997.77 TS ship in distress.
