Rewarding 1 group and 4 individuals for bravely saving people jumping off a bridge in the dark

On April 12, the People's Committee of Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa) unexpectedly awarded a certificate of merit to Cau Bong Border Post, under the Khanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command, along with 3 residents and 1 border guard officer who bravely jumped into the river to save people.

Previously, at around 7:10 p.m. on April 10, a girl jumped from Tran Phu Bridge to the mouth of Cai River flowing into the sea, in Vinh Tho ward, Nha Trang city.

Discovering the incident, three people, Thai Ba Hoang, Huynh Nhat Thien (residing in Vinh Hoa ward, Nha Trang city), Ho Chi Hung (residing in Vinh Hai ward, Nha Trang city) and Major Tong Van Canh, Chief of Cau Bong Border Control Station, jumped into the river to rescue the girl. Immediately afterwards, officers and soldiers of the Police, the Military Command of Vinh Tho ward and Van Thanh ward, Nha Trang city coordinated to help bring the girl to shore for first aid and encourage her to give up negative actions.

"The brave act of saving people in the dark in the midst of rushing water by 3 locals and 1 border guard officer is worthy of being respected, praised and widely replicated, creating a spread in social life" - Mr. Luu Thanh Nhan, Permanent Vice Chairman of Nha Trang City People's Committee said.
