On the morning of January 18, comrades: Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Steering Committee (SC) 35 provinces; Pham Dong Thuy, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the SC 35 provinces chaired the conference to summarize the work in 2023, deploy the key tasks in 2024 of the SC 35 on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation. In 2023, the Provincial Steering Committee 35 led and directed its member units to synchronously deploy many solutions to implement Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the Politburo (12th tenure) on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation. The member units of the Provincial Steering Committee 35, the Steering Committees 35 of districts, cities, and Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee have closely followed their tasks and done a good job of propagating the Party and State's guidelines, policies, and laws, and political events in the country and the province; widely spreading the province's outstanding results and achievements in socio-economic development, national defense, security, Party building and the political system; promoting the image of the homeland, the country, and the people of Vietnam in general and Thai Binh in particular. Members of the Steering Committee 35 at all levels have also proactively grasped the situation and oriented the ideology of Party members and people of all walks of life; Strengthen the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, effectively combat and refute erroneous and hostile views, contributing to stabilizing political security and social order and safety in the whole province and in cyberspace.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 35 acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved in implementing Resolution No. 35; frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations that need to be promptly overcome.

To effectively carry out the key tasks of the Steering Committee in 2024, he requested that Steering Committee 35 at all levels continue to thoroughly grasp and fully and deeply understand the nature and importance of the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints, especially in the current period. Party committees, authorities, leaders at all levels and each cadre and party member must always be vigilant against all plots and sabotage activities of hostile forces; focus on leading and organizing the effective implementation of the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation. Strengthen political and ideological education, equip knowledge, and improve the self-defense capacity of cadres and party members against contradictory information and distorted arguments of hostile forces. Resolutely implement the work of combating and handling violations of cyber security and preventing and combating high-tech crimes in the province, publicizing information and handling results on the media. Improve the effectiveness of information and propaganda work, spread positive information, resolutely and persistently fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints. Continue to innovate and improve the effectiveness of the activities of Steering Committee 35 at all levels. It is necessary to attach importance to training, fostering and building forces to directly fight to protect the Party's ideological foundation and refute erroneous and hostile viewpoints.
