Focus on monitoring issues of public concern

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Bai province effectively implemented the work of social supervision and criticism, focusing on each specific field, innovating the form of supervision in a practical, quality and effective direction, contributing to ensuring the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people.

Mr. Phung Quang Huy - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Bai province said that in 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Bai province will continue to implement the Resolution on "Improving the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels in Yen Bai province until 2025, with a vision to 2030", innovating and improving the quality of social supervision and criticism activities according to Decision No. 217-QD/TW of the Politburo. At the same time, effectively implement the Coordination Regulations between the National Assembly Delegation - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, improving the quality of comments on the development of laws, ordinances and draft legal documents.

In the supervision work, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Yen Bai province focuses on implementing and supervising the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2030, effectively implementing Regulation No. 124 dated February 2, 2018 of the Secretariat on supervision by the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and people on the cultivation and training of ethics and lifestyle of leaders, key officials and cadres, party members, promoting the role and improving the quality of activities of the People's Inspectorate, Community Investment Supervision Board, and grassroots mediation teams in performing political tasks in residential areas.

Typically in Mu Cang Chai district, in recent years, in order to improve the effectiveness of monitoring the National Target Programs on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2030, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district has actively participated in monitoring investment resources, participating in monitoring delegations, conducting field monitoring at irrigation works, housing projects for semi-boarding and boarding students. Ms. Khang Thi Mao - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Mu Cang Chai district said that the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas has brought about clear changes in quality, increasingly going into depth, having a pervasive nature, leadership, direction and operation have been regular, continuous, achieving substantial results. Thanks to that, people have actively participated, making an important contribution to improving the lives and increasing sustainable income for rural people.

Along with strengthening supervision, in 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Yen Bai province proactively coordinated with local authorities to request documents requiring social criticism from the Fatherland Front and organizations, actively implemented social criticism work, and participated in giving opinions on draft documents on policies, planning, plans, programs, and projects for economic, cultural, and social development of the province during the year, with 6 social criticism meetings organized.

In addition, the activities of the People's Inspection Committee and the Community Investment Supervision Committee in 173/173 communes, wards and towns across the province are regularly strengthened, improved, sufficient in quantity, guaranteed in quality, professionally trained, and monthly meetings are held to grasp the situation, collect information, synthesize opinions, and coordinate to promptly resolve issues arising at the grassroots level.

Mr. Phung Quang Huy - Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Bai province said that the work of supervision and social criticism comes from practice, focusing on issues that people and society are interested in, contributing to promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc, firmly consolidating people's trust in the leadership of the Party and authorities at all levels. In the coming time, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Yen Bai province will strongly innovate the supervision method, focusing on improving the quality of the work of collecting and synthesizing opinions and recommendations in supervision and social criticism to ensure objectivity, honesty, full legal, scientific and practical basis, regularly monitor, urge and supervise the reception and settlement of opinions and recommendations after supervision.
