On the morning of April 25, the Provincial Cooperative Union coordinated with the Southern Vocational College and Cooperative Cadre Training Center to organize a training course on Developing ecological agriculture associated with circular economy and rural tourism. More than 40 representatives of agricultural production cooperatives in the province attended.
In her opening speech, Ms. Tran Thi Kim Thoa - Vice President of the Provincial Cooperative Union shared that this model is a new trend that agricultural cooperatives in the province are aiming for, both producing and creating jobs for cooperative members in rural areas. In particular, agricultural production is gradually moving towards clean agriculture, associated with a circular economy, using clean fertilizers, pesticides, and organic products that do not affect the surrounding environment.
At the same time, this will be a new and attractive model to attract groups of visitors, especially students, to visit and experience the reality. Through this training course, we hope to provide basic knowledge for cooperative members to apply in fields, dragon fruit gardens or existing farms. From there, the activities of cooperatives will have a new direction of development, linking in chains to create valuable products with regional characteristics.
At the training session, lecturer Tran Duy Nghiem Luat - Southern Vocational College and Cooperative Training Center under the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance informed cooperative members about topics on ecological agriculture, circular economy and agricultural tourism. In addition, the lecturer also shared specific examples of successful agricultural tourism models, as well as analyzed the strengths of the locality when implementing the new model and the orientation of agricultural tourism exploitation of cooperatives in this period.
It is known that the training course will take place in 3 days (April 25 - April 27), the trainees will both study theory and visit a vermicompost farm in Khanh Hoa province.
