Strengthening coordination in implementing defense and security tasks

On the afternoon of May 6, the Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Provincial Border Guard Command and the Provincial Police to organize a conference to review the implementation of Decree No. 03/2019/ND-CP of the Government on coordination between the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense in performing the tasks of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, and fighting and preventing crimes; reviewing the first quarter defense tasks; and deploying tasks for the second quarter of 2024.

In the first quarter of 2024, the three forces closely followed the leadership of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Military Region 2 Command, the Border Guard Command, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee to promote innovation and effectively carry out the political tasks of the three forces.

In particular, the parties have done a good job of exchanging information, related situations and effectively fighting against all types of crimes; resolutely implementing the peak period of attacking and suppressing drug crimes and human trafficking in 2024; absolutely protecting the security and safety of important political events of the country and the province; in particular, the 8th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange program was successfully held in Lao Cai province. Actively participating in responding to natural disasters, searching and rescuing, preventing forest fires, and protecting forests. Thereby contributing to firmly protecting territorial sovereignty, maintaining political stability, social order and safety, serving the task of local socio-economic development.

The three forces have advised and coordinated with local authorities to organize 730 sessions of legal propaganda for the people/88,633 listeners; actively participated in crime prevention and control, protecting national security and national borders, exchanging 436 news, checking and verifying 408 news, reaching 93.6%; handling 4 cases/5 subjects related to drug trafficking and illegal entry and exit for investigation according to regulations.
