(NLDO)- Driving a passenger car in the wrong direction on the highway, the 44-year-old driver was fined 35 million VND and had 10 points deducted from his driver's license.
This morning, February 16, a representative of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 1 (Team 1, Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security) said that the unit had drawn up a ticket to fine the driver of a passenger car driving in the wrong direction on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway.

Accordingly, on February 15, a clip of a passenger car driving in the wrong direction on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway appeared on social media, causing traffic safety problems. After receiving the report, the unit sent officers and soldiers to investigate.
Through the surveillance camera system on the route, the police identified the passenger car going in the opposite direction with the license plate 25F-002.xx. The driver of this car was Tran Son D. (born in 1981, residing in Lai Chau city, Lai Chau province).
At the police station, driver Tran Son D. said that at 8:00 p.m. on February 14, he drove a passenger car with license plate 25F-002.xx from My Dinh station (Hanoi) to Lai Chau. At Km 78 (Toll station IC 10) of Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway, the driver drove the car in the wrong direction.

"When I realized I was driving in the wrong direction on the highway, I turned the car around to go in the right direction. I realized that my violation was wrong and endangered others," said driver Tran Son D.
In response to the above violation, Team 1 issued a fine to driver Tran Son D. for driving in the wrong direction on the highway. For this violation, driver D. was fined 35 million VND and had 10 points deducted from his driver's license.
