At the 2025 Vietnam Export Fair (HCM City Export 2025) recently organized by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the presence of the digital exhibition model provided businesses with an additional trading platform with partners to increase opportunities to export goods.
Many utilities
Ms. Ngo Dieu Thuy, General Director of B2B e-commerce platform Arobid, owner of digital exhibition platform Arobid TradeXpo, said that the platform converges thousands of exhibitions, trade fairs, webinars... on industries such as garment, wood, footwear, services...
Also at HCM City Export 2025, Arobid opened a free digital booth, displaying product information such as origin, price, production capacity, export certificates, etc. for participating businesses. Customers around the world can download the application or access the Arobid website on their phones or computers to access the digital booths to search for information, view products and suppliers. When there is a need for products, markets, criteria to be searched for, etc., the AI tool on the platform will support redirection to suitable businesses. All data related to buying and selling will be recorded by AI, evaluated for reputation based on the number of cooperations, feedback from partners, etc., thereby suggesting reliability for buyers and sellers to consider transactions. "On average, businesses participate in international exhibitions once a year, the rate of closing direct orders at that time for the first meeting will be very low because the value of export orders is very large, calculated in millions of USD, and the partners are not well understood... With the digital exhibition platform, businesses have a lot of information, shortening the time to learn about partners before meeting in person to increase the conversion rate into successful orders" - General Director of Arobid informed.
According to Ms. Thuy, Arobid also has other utilities such as logistics supply chain management, legal consulting, loans for production, import and export. The company's goal is to reach 20,000 - 30,000 digital booths by the end of 2026, providing infrastructure for businesses to maintain connections and expand the market sustainably. Currently, the platform has packages with many upgraded features such as expanding the number of products, increasing booths, pricing rights, etc.
Within the framework of HCM City Export 2025, Arobid has signed cooperation agreements with many units, such as the HCM City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) to deploy a digital exhibition model for the HCM City Food Industry Exhibition 2025, taking place from April 16 to 19; cooperating with Dong Nam Advertising and Trade Promotion Joint Stock Company to organize a digital exhibition at the Vietnam International Paper and Packaging Exhibition (VPPE) from May 7 to 9...
As the unit signing with Arobid, Mr. Tran Phu Lu, Director of ITPC, said that the center aims to bring 10,000 enterprises to the floor to take advantage of the digital exhibition model to promote Vietnamese brands to increase export opportunities. According to Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, digital exhibition is a new transaction channel for enterprises, especially enterprises that have not yet connected to the international market. Online features will help enterprises overcome all barriers and limitations compared to traditional transaction methods.
A World Bank report (2024) indicates that the application of digital technology helps reduce costs by 15%-20%, creating opportunities for businesses to improve their competitiveness in the international market.

Building a sustainable ecosystem
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that promoting trade and expanding export markets is an important task, in which developing e-commerce is considered a key solution to achieve the target of double-digit economic growth by 2025. Cooperation between units will create momentum to promote export, consumption and investment activities of the business community, and integration in the international market. However, Mr. Dung noted that there needs to be close coordination between relevant parties and strong investment in infrastructure and resources to maximize the benefits of e-commerce.
According to Mr. Phan Dinh Tue - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bamboo Airways - it is necessary to specify the efficiency index of the digital exhibition platform to attract businesses to participate. At the same time, strengthen cooperation between business associations to create a business ecosystem, fully exploiting the capabilities of the digital exhibition model.
Highly appreciating the potential of digital exhibitions for the tourism industry, Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that the Department will coordinate with Arobid to promote tourism to domestic and foreign tourists, bringing the International Tourism Fair scheduled for September 2025 to the e-commerce platform. He also requested that the platform must ensure the highest level of user data security, eye-catching interface and images, and high quality to increase attractiveness.
E-commerce expert Luu Thanh Phuong said that digital exhibitions will be an effective tool to expand export markets, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises that do not have many resources such as international sales teams. For this model to be effective and sustainable, digital exhibition platforms need to invest in stable technology infrastructure, user-friendly interfaces, integrate AI tools to support translation, online consultation and especially information security. In addition, it is necessary to build rich, updated and market-relevant exhibition content, and the cost must be cheaper than platforms such as Alibaba and Amazon.
Keep up with market trends
Mr. Le Trung Dung, representative of the Department of Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), said that over the past 10 years, Vietnamese enterprises have mainly relied on international B2B e-commerce platforms to promote exports such as Alibaba (China). The B2B Arobid platform basically meets all the necessary features for Vietnamese enterprises to participate in displaying products and connecting internationally. In addition, digital exhibitions need to constantly update technology to keep up with market trends.
