Hue University convincingly won the 1st Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament in 2023
Most recently, the Dalat University football team won the HDBank futsal tournament for students in the Central Highlands region organized by VOV. This is a regional tournament but 9 universities and colleges have registered to participate enthusiastically, adding a new image to the Vietnamese student football movement.
It is expected that this will be an annual traditional tournament organized by Voice of Vietnam (VOV), the unit associated with large and small futsal tournaments, the most prestigious of which is the National Championship, which is about to enter the second leg.
Previously, Thanh Nien Newspaper successfully organized the first Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament in 2023. Right from the first time of organization, this student football tournament attracted 43 football teams from all regions spanning from the North - Central - South.
A large audience came to watch the 7-a-side student football match organized by VietFootball.
The good impression of the tournament promises that the second season will be more attractive and exciting, with the scale and number of university and college teams registering to participate increasing significantly.
Previously, at the end of December 2022, the national 7-a-side student football tournament - FPT Play Cup 2022 also ended with the final round taking place at Ton Duc Thang University's football field, with the qualifying round taking place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Also in November 2022, the University of Transport won the SV Champions League 2022 for student football teams, defeating Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports in the final.

VietFootball, one of the leading units in the country in the 7-a-side football ecosystem, did not stand aside, cooperating with VTVcab and VNPAY to successfully organize the 2022 national 7-a-side student football tournament taking place in the coastal city of Nha Trang at the end of 2022, with a total of 12 teams from all regions participating.
Tournaments of different sizes are showing the vibrant face of the school football movement in general and student football in particular. It is not too much to say that a hundred flowers are blooming!
Competition will make progress. Student football organizers understand this, as everyone is trying to perfect the tournament regulations, increase professionalism in all aspects of the tournament to increase value and attraction.

It is hoped that the student football movement will maintain its strong momentum, which will lead to universities and colleges proactively and flexibly opening up entrance scholarship mechanisms for students who play football well.
Even if student football develops and is properly socialized, we will be able to create an ecosystem of universities and colleges that possess strong student football teams, operating professionally and systematically all year round with a complete infrastructure foundation.
From playgrounds such as the Vietnamese Youth Student Football Tournament or Vietnamese student futsal, many graduates from academies will open the door to both university study and soccer, before seeking opportunities in professional playgrounds like the US, Japan, Korea, etc. are applying.
