On the afternoon of March 28, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake occurred. Bangkok was severely affected by the earthquake, causing buildings to shake and even collapse (the 30-story building under construction was under the management of the National Audit Office).
The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) is very concerned about the infrastructure serving the 33rd SEA Games. Over the past 2 days, they have conducted a comprehensive review of all infrastructure related to this event. That is the 25-storey Chalermprakiat building, Rajamangala National Stadium, Vero Dome, the resting area for athletes participating in the SEA Games...
And after the inspection, the conclusion was made that these structures were safe after the earthquake. A spokesman for SAT said: "The Department of Public Works and Urban-Rural Planning under the Ministry of the Interior inspected the structures in Bangkok. We can conclude that the overall main structure of the infrastructure was not damaged.

They can still function and perform their duties in the present and future. Rajamangala Stadium is also not affected by any structural issues. National athletes who are training there can rest assured about their safety."
In addition to SAT, the Football Association of Thailand has visited football fields within the earthquake's area of influence. They reviewed everything with the criterion "all for the safety of fans".
President of the Football Association of Thailand, Madam Pang, said: "This incident is a warning that we should not be subjective with natural disasters because they can happen at any time. Therefore, the Federation and Thai League require cooperation from all clubs to review all facilities under their management, thereby ensuring the safety of fans."
