Surveys on a number of online ticketing platforms and airline ticket agents show that round-trip ticket prices for some popular routes such as Hanoi-Phu Quoc, Hanoi-Nha Trang, Hanoi-Quy Nhon, Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City, etc. have all increased quite sharply. This has made many people worry that domestic tourism will fall into a "disadvantaged" situation like in recent tourist seasons.

However, according to analysis by some experts, this year's holiday season, tourists' travel demand will be distributed relatively evenly on domestic and international tourist routes, because travel companies have prepared to provide a diverse product system, capable of meeting many types of needs; localities and destinations are also applying many tourism stimulus policies.

Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association, said: The number of tourists during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year will increase significantly; in Da Nang alone, the source of international visitors is expected to increase dramatically by about 20-25%, and domestic visitors will also increase by 10-15% compared to the same period last year.

According to Mr. Dung, although airfare prices have increased sharply this time, many large travel agencies have proactively worked to maintain a source of tickets at acceptable prices, and tourists who book services early through travel agencies will get a much more reasonable cost. In addition, in order to avoid being affected by high airfare prices, a number of tourists can use tourism products traveling by other means of transport. "Currently, Da Nang has built a fairly rich system of road and rail tourism products, meeting the needs of individual and family travelers.

In addition, from neighboring localities to Da Nang, there are short-term products traveling by road with parking lots and shuttle centers to facilitate the source of customers traveling by private vehicles. Da Nang has also implemented peak stimulus for 19 provinces in the Central and Central Highlands, along with many other incentive programs, so it promises to attract a large number of tourists during the holidays" - Mr. Cao Tri Dung said.
