On the morning of March 9, Nha Trang University organized the STEM Festival 2025, attracting thousands of students in Nha Trang City to participate.

The festival took place with many exciting activities such as: ship and logistics racing; Racing NTU 2025 (homemade 4-wheel racing); design and manufacture of line tracing vehicles; design and manufacture of pickleball shooting equipment; simulation and loading of bridge structures...

Dr. Huynh Van Vu - Head of the Faculty of Traffic Engineering (Nha Trang University) - said that this activity aims to create a useful scientific playground, enhancing the passion for science and technology for students.

"This is an opportunity for students to have new experiences, thereby promoting their passion for learning, the spirit of innovation and creativity, and improving their ability to apply theory to practice," said Mr. Vu.

The STEM Festival is also an opportunity for lecturers to better understand the role and significance of STEM education in schools, and to increase the application of teaching methods and practical guidance that are more appropriate, interesting, and engaging for students.

To make the models and products to participate in the festival, the students had to spend months researching and perfecting their products.

Participating in the ship and logistics racing competition, Le Dinh Duy - a third-year student majoring in Ship Engineering - said that to create a model that can be controlled remotely, in addition to applying professional knowledge, one must learn how to control the ship to move best.

"Each ship costs about 2 million VND and takes about 1 month to make. Foam material must be used, which is highly flexible and very light, so that the ship can run on a battery engine. Remote control, docking and transporting goods requires specialized equipment, requiring the operator's skill," Duy shared.
