In the first 9 months of 2024, in addition to high business growth targets, Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center - SECC was honored to receive many international awards. On September 3, 2024 in the Philippines, SECC received the award " Vietnam's Leading Convention and Exhibition Center 2024 " presented by the World Travel Awards, the fourth consecutive time SECC received this award. Held annually and considered the "Oscar of the world tourism industry", World Travel Awards is the world's leading award to honor outstanding individuals, businesses and locations in the tourism industry.

Notably, previously, on January 26, 2024 in the capital Vientiane (Laos), at the Southeast Asia Tourism Forum - ATF 2024, SECC had excellently received the award " ASEAN MICE Venue 2024 - Exhibition Venue Category ". This is an annual event, held in rotation among the 10 member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), a noble award of the ASEAN tourism industry to contribute to honoring and developing the brands of businesses, products and high-quality tourism services in the region.

According to Mr. Lieu Nhat Hung, after a period of severe impact by the Covid-19 pandemic, SECC has recovered and achieved high growth in recent years. It is expected that in 2024, revenue will increase by over 15% and gross profit will increase by over 25% compared to 2023; budget contribution in 2024 is expected to be about 200 billion VND. This is a very positive result in the context of difficulties and challenges in the world and domestic economy.

In 2024, there will be about 70 indoor and outdoor exhibitions and events held at SECC with more than 1.6 million visitors from more than 50 countries and territories. Among them, there are specialized exhibitions, organized annually with good growth, using almost the entire area of ​​SECC such as: Hawa, Vietnam Motor Show, Saigontex, Shoes Leather, Vietnam Plas, Automechanika, MTA Vietnam... There are many new exhibitions with diverse themes held at SECC such as: VIATT, Pet Fair, VIOE, Asean Ceramics, Tea Show, Home Show, VIBT, VIBE, Gentexh, GAFA...

In addition, SECC is also a place trusted by many companies to organize top events. Typical events include events of major brands such as Unilever, Wechoice, Circle K, Shinhan, Under Armour, Isuzu... In addition, SECC is also a venue for grand music nights such as Rapviet Concert, Masked Singer, " Living the Essence " Music Night, " Dreamy Cities "...

SECC is a joint venture between Saigon Tourist Group (Saigontourist Group) with 60% capital contribution and Phu My Hung Development Corporation (Phu My Hung Development Corporation) with 40% capital contribution. On October 30, 2008, Exhibition Hall A welcomed its first event. On April 26, 2022, Exhibition Hall B officially came into operation.

Located at the gateway to the city and surrounded by the 4 busiest main roads of the Phu My Hung New Urban Area, SECC is currently the only place in the country and one of the exhibition halls in Asia that meets international standards in terms of technology, construction and space of the exhibition industry. The halls are designed to accommodate large-scale events and exhibitions with open, column-free spaces, support functional spaces and multi-scale meeting and conference rooms that can be flexibly changed to suit all requirements. Outside is a continuous campus of more than 3 hectares, an ideal space to host outdoor events for tens of thousands of attendees.
