Previously, Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) had issued a document proposing a plan and approving a list of projects to prepare for investment in repairing the runway, taxiway and landing strip of Vinh International Airport.
The Ministry of Transport requires ACV to increase regular inspections of runways and taxiways at airports, especially at Vinh International Airport.
Approving the list of permits to prepare for investment in the project to repair the runway and taxiway of Vinh International Airport as proposed by ACV, Deputy Minister of Transport Le Anh Tuan stated: In the next implementation step, ACV needs to carry out the procedures for the repair project to ensure compliance with the provisions of the law on bidding, the law on construction and other relevant regulations.
At the same time, based on the opinions of the Ministry of Transport and related units, urgently carry out project implementation procedures; organize the selection and direct design consultants to review inspection results, conduct surveys and designs to determine the causes of damage to road surface and road foundation structures (if any).
ACV also needs to research and propose appropriate repair solutions to ensure economic and technical factors, facilitate construction and future management and maintenance to meet the exploitation requirements of current code C aircraft.
Organize the establishment, appraisal and approval of repair projects to ensure compliance with current regulations on construction repair and maintenance, and submit the maintenance plan to the Ministry of Transport for approval for implementation.
During the implementation of repair procedures, ACV needs to continue to strengthen the maintenance of runways and taxiways at Vinh International Airport according to technical standards on aviation maintenance and maintenance procedures, be responsible for ensuring safe operations and smooth air transport operations according to regulations, and report to the Ministry of Transport any difficulties and problems (if any).
In addition, it is necessary to strengthen regular inspections of runways and taxiways at airports, especially at Vinh International Airport, promptly detect signs of deterioration that are dangerous and unsafe for exploitation and use, take responsibility for organizing timely repairs according to regulations, and report the results to the Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
