According to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association, most textile and garment enterprises have orders until the first quarter of 2025 and are negotiating orders for the second quarter of 2025. Mr. Pham Van Viet, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Viet Thang Jean Company Limited, said that the export situation has become more positive at the end of the year. To date, Viet Thang Jean has received orders until June 2025.

As for Viet Tien Garment Joint Stock Corporation, Mr. Phan Van Kiet, Deputy General Director, informed that at the end of the year, many employees at the company had to work overtime to meet orders and serve foreign partners during the holidays and Tet. Viet Tien has orders until May 2025.

Besides, some localities such as: Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Nam Dinh ... industrial production is also accelerating. Many enterprises have set the goal of striving to complete the volume of products ahead of schedule, deliver on time as per contract, and continue to invest in expanding production.

In Tuyen Quang, in the first days of the year, An Hoa Paper Factory is producing with new momentum, expecting 2025 to continue the momentum from the achievements of 2024.

The representative of An Hoa Paper Joint Stock Company said that in 2024, the company produced and sold over 340 thousand tons of paper and pulp, with revenue reaching 3,500 billion VND, profits exceeding 12%, contributions to the State budget exceeding 4%; workers' income increased by 13%. Entering 2025, the company identified many challenges, so it proposed many solutions right from the first day, the first month, the first quarter of the year with the determination to improve product quality, revenue output, so production was "in tune" right from the first days of the year.

Or in Quang Ninh province, typically Nam Mau Coal Company with the goal of exploiting over 2.4 million tons of coal in 2025 is focusing on production, mobilizing maximum human resources and machinery, promoting tunnel digging and coal mining. The company tightens labor safety, improves working conditions and takes care of Tet for workers. Careful preparation helps the company proactively produce from the beginning of the new year, positions and production lines are maintained in stable operation, ensuring safety, thereby striving to complete the goals of 2025.

With the goal of completing coal supply for thermal power plants by 2025, Cua Ong Coal Selection Company strives to receive and import 13.8 million tons of coal from Cam Pha region; produce and consume 12.8 million tons of coal. These days, the company's teams, groups, and construction sites have effectively maintained production pace; accelerated the focus on producing the highest possible coal output, meeting the maximum demand for coal types, especially for power plants.

Determined to achieve growth target

In 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade aims to increase the industrial production index by about 9-10% compared to 2024. Accordingly, it is necessary to focus on many solutions to increase added value for industrial production to create a new, stronger and more comprehensive driving force.

Looking forward to 2025, Mr. Pham Nguyen Hung - Director of the Department of Industry (Ministry of Industry and Trade) forecasts that in 2025, the world economy still has many potential unstable factors, especially the possibility of a strong resurgence of the trend of de-globalization, trade protectionism and trade wars; along with new geopolitical tensions. Domestically, industries have more market opportunities from receiving new foreign investment flows and large projects in key national sectors (especially in high-tech industries such as semiconductors, renewable energy, high-speed railways, etc.). " However, the bottleneck in the capacity of domestic industrial enterprises as well as the slow development of domestic supporting industries will create a major obstacle to these opportunities " - the leader of the Department of Industry expressed.

From the perspective of state agencies, to contribute to ensuring the industrial growth target of 9-10%, the leader of the Department of Industry said that the Industry and Trade sector will continue to proactively and effectively implement business support policies approved by the Government to remove difficulties and obstacles in production and business activities of enterprises - especially in key export industries such as textiles, leather - footwear and fundamental industries such as automobiles, mechanics, steel, etc.

To contribute to ensuring the implementation of the 2025 goals, industrial production will continue to proactively and effectively implement the macroeconomic policies in general and industrial development policies in particular of the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, promote the operation of new industrial production projects to serve export and domestic consumption, creating more capacity for production development and goods sources for export.

Next, focus on consulting on perfecting institutions, policies and laws as a basis for new growth resources in industries in the short term as well as in the long term.

At the same time, effectively implement working programs with localities and existing business support programs to promote the growth momentum of industries in key economic regions, creating momentum to continue promoting industrial growth nationwide.

Regarding this content, Mr. Chu Viet Cuong, Director of the Industrial Development Support Center - Department of Industry shared that in recent times, some localities have strongly developed clusters and industrial linkage zones, in order to create conditions for enterprises to share resources, knowledge and technology. The development of these industrial linkage clusters has shown outstanding efficiency in production compared to other industrial zones, thanks to the concentration of many manufacturing enterprises in the same field.

Industry associations need to act as a bridge, providing information to supporting industry enterprises about each other’s production capacity and needs. In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Trade also promotes connecting domestic enterprises to participate in the supply chain of large global FDI enterprises investing in Vietnam… From there, helping industrial production accelerate in 2025, ” said Mr. Chu Viet Cuong.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to study, thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement the Party's policies, the National Assembly's Resolutions and the Government's directions; promptly develop an Action Plan and focus on synchronously, drastically and effectively implementing in 2025 the tasks assigned in Resolution 01/NQ-CP of the Government on key tasks and solutions to implement the socio-economic development plan, contributing to the whole country's successful implementation of the programs and tasks set out.
