Currently, preparations for the congress of ethnic minorities in the city have been completed.
The 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Hanoi is an important political and social activity in the life of ethnic communities in the city. The Congress continues to affirm the consistent policy of the Party and State on ethnic issues and great national unity; arouse patriotism, build and consolidate trust, and create consensus among ethnic minorities in the Party and State's innovation policy. The Congress has the task of summarizing and accurately assessing the achievements and results of ethnic work, ethnic policies, infrastructure development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, and new rural construction in ethnic minority and mountainous areas from the 3rd Congress in 2019 to present. From there, draw lessons, develop directions, goals, tasks, and solutions for implementing ethnic work in localities and the City in the period of 2024 - 2029. At the same time, it is an opportunity to commend and honor outstanding collectives and individuals, and encourage and motivate ethnic minorities to continue to contribute to the cause of building and protecting the capital and the country.
Per capita income increased

In recent times, the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee have paid special attention and proposed many policies to develop the socio-economic development of ethnic minority areas in Hanoi. The economy of ethnic minority areas has developed rapidly, the infrastructure system has been invested in and built synchronously, material and spiritual life has been improved... many models of economic development, farms combined with tourism, cultural preservation and development have been formed and promoted effectively...
“Over the past 5 years, the ethnic minority areas of the capital have achieved important and comprehensive results in the economic, cultural and social fields, contributing to narrowing the gap in development levels between mountainous ethnic minority areas and rural areas in Hanoi, notably: Annual economic growth rate of over 10%; average income per capita increased to about 65 million VND/person/year, with some communes reaching over 70 million VND/person/year (an increase of over 30 million compared to 2018)…” Mr. Quan said.
According to the Head of the Hanoi City Ethnic Minorities Committee, each ethnic group in the capital has its own customs, practices, and cultural nuances, creating diversity and richness in the Vietnamese national culture, while also inheriting and being influenced by the cultures of other ethnic groups, but in general, they all have ardent patriotism, are brave in combat, are diligent and creative in production, and together with the Kinh people, unite and join hands to build a rich, civilized, and modern capital and country.
