Back when the Galaxy S24 series was announced, Samsung promised to ensure the presence of Galaxy AI on previous-generation smartphones and tablets. Now, Samsung MX TM Roh, head of mobile business, said the company is working on bringing Galaxy AI to some of the Korean brand's wearables.
Samsung has big ambitions for its Galaxy AI service
“In the near future, a number of Galaxy wearables will adopt AI, enhancing digital health and ushering in a whole new era of advanced, intelligent healthcare,” said Roh. “Samsung will continue to enrich and expand Galaxy AI capabilities across all categories in collaboration with industry-leading AI partners.”
Previously, sources said that the Galaxy Buds wireless earphones will soon have access to AI translation functionality, and it is likely that the same functionality will appear on Samsung's smartwatch. But the company is not stopping there, as Roh added: "We are just getting started. As we develop the Galaxy S24 series, we have many ideas and concepts that we want to realize. Over time, Galaxy users will be able to enjoy more Galaxy AI features based on these ideas and concepts as Samsung continues to improve and expand its mobile AI capabilities."
This means that the Korean manufacturer is taking the Galaxy AI project very seriously and will continue to roll out AI functions to its services. Samsung may not limit itself to wearables as the company's scope of operations is much broader.
