(Fatherland) - On the evening of July 6 (Saint Petersburg time) at the Capella Theater, Saint Petersburg City, Russian Federation, a special art performance took place, closing the Vietnamese Cultural Days in the Russian Federation.
Attending the program were Party Central Committee member, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the Russian Federation Dang Minh Khoi; Director of the Department of International Cooperation Nguyen Phuong Hoa; Chief of Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet; Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City Tran The Thuan; Representative of the government of Saint Petersburg city, Russian Federation and a large number of Russian and Vietnamese audiences living in Saint Petersburg and neighboring areas.
Similar to the art program at the Opening Ceremony of the Vietnamese Cultural Days held in Zaryadie Moscow, the performances by Vietnamese artists in Saint Petersburg continued to introduce to Russian audiences the unique features of Vietnamese culture, which, although geographically distant, is also very familiar and close to the Russian people.
In the program on the evening of July 6, artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music continued to perform a number of Russian classical music works, along with Vietnamese classical music composed in the Russian musical style, helping the audience feel the similarities and the intersection of the two cultures of Vietnam and Russia.
In addition, artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music and the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater continued to perform dances and play some unique traditional Vietnamese musical instruments.
The performances introduced the beauty of the land and people of Vietnam and Russia, and praised the strong friendship that has been tested over the years between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
Following the success of the opening night, the art performances received enthusiastic responses from the audience. The endless applause and cheers of encouragement after each performance spoke of the great success of the art program in particular and the Vietnamese Cultural Days in the Russian Federation in general.
The end of the Vietnamese Cultural Days in the Russian Federation in 2024 also opens a new chapter in the cooperation, cultural exchange, sports and tourism between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
