According to the report of Huong Khe district, this morning, the total overflow water flow of the reservoir at Ho Ho Hydropower Plant to the downstream was about 253m3 /s. Currently, the unit has mobilized maximum staff and employees to operate and regulate water to ensure safety.

Regarding the flood situation, heavy rain caused 5,494 households in Huong Khe district to have their gardens flooded, of which 860 households had their houses flooded; 8 schools, 16 village meeting halls were flooded, 1 post office was flooded; a number of lakes, dams, and riverbank embankments were damaged and eroded; the Tat dam in Hoa Hai commune (capacity 0.4 million m3 ) had its dam body broken; the banks of Ngan Sau river and Tiem river had many landslides... Floods caused 2 deaths due to drowning, 1 person missing. Winter crops were flooded on 20.2 hectares.
Faced with the complicated flood situation, on the morning of October 31, Huong Khe district proactively allowed 54 schools with 22,525 students to stay home.
As of this morning (October 31), heavy rain still flooded many roads, bridges, and culverts in the communes of Huong Binh, Huong Do, Dien My, Phuc Trach, Huong Lien, Huong Lam... causing many residential areas to be isolated.
After the inspection, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai requested Ho Ho Hydropower Plant to continue to strictly implement the regulations on reservoir operation; ensure dam safety, have plans to protect dams, dam corridors, and inter-reservoir operation procedures according to regulations, ensuring maximum safety for the project and people in the downstream areas of Huong Khe district.

Regarding landslides in the area, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that local authorities should continue to closely monitor weather developments, take warning measures in dangerous areas and routes with high risk of landslides; mobilize forces and means to promptly overcome landslides to ensure the safety of people and vehicles. Departments and branches should organize assessments and support localities in implementing solutions to ensure safety at landslide-prone areas.
Check and review all locations at high risk of floods, flash floods, landslides and deep flooding to promptly notify people to proactively prevent. Organize a review of households in areas at high risk of floods, flash floods and landslides to be ready to evacuate to a safe place. Proactively mobilize forces and means to evacuate households in dangerous areas to ensure people's safety.
Local authorities continue to urgently mobilize human resources to search for missing people due to floods and promptly visit and support families affected by floods.
