A tractor pulling a trailer carrying 10 people suddenly overturned while crossing a stream in strong currents, leaving one person missing.
On the afternoon of December 11, the People's Committee of Hoa Kien commune (Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen) reported that a person was swept away and went missing.

Specifically, at around 1 p.m. the same day, in Son Tho village, Hoa Kien commune, a tractor pulling a trailer carrying 10 people was moving across a stream when the water was flowing rapidly. Unfortunately, the trailer overturned, causing one person to be swept away by the water, while the remaining 9 people were lucky to escape.
The person swept away by the flood is Mr. Nguyen Van Qui (36 years old, residing in Hoa Quang Bac commune, Phu Hoa district, Phu Yen).
After receiving information about the incident, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Hoa Kien commune mobilized forces to search but so far there have been no results.
Currently, there are about 80 people including the Tuy Hoa City Military Command, the Phu Yen Province Fire Prevention and Rescue Police, and the Hoa Kien Commune authorities searching for the missing person.
On December 11, Phu Yen province experienced very heavy rain, many trees fell on the road. According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, Phu Yen Hydro-Meteorological Station, from the night of December 10 to 14, the province experienced moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms. The total rainfall for the entire period was generally from 100 - 200mm, in some places over 300mm.
