(GLO)- On July 28, the Women's Union of Ya Hoi commune (Dak Po district, Gia Lai province) coordinated with the People's Committee of the commune to launch the "Brocade Weaving" club with 30 members, chaired by Ms. Dinh Thi Huong - Head of the Front Committee of Groi village.
The club members are Bahnar women who are good at weaving. Through regular meetings, club members exchange and share experiences in weaving to improve their skills; at the same time, they organize traditional craft training for those who want to learn.

This is a model under the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas of Gia Lai Province. The club's activities aim to preserve and promote ethnic cultural values associated with tourism development, helping ethnic minority women increase their income and improve their lives from cultural heritage.
