Quynh Phu: Launching the patriotic emulation movement in 2024

On the morning of January 17, the People's Committee of Quynh Phu district held a conference to summarize the patriotic emulation movement in 2023 and launch the patriotic emulation movement in 2024. Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council attended the conference.

In 2023, Quynh Phu district launched 10 emulation movements. The movements were widely deployed in all fields; the content and forms were rich and practical, closely following the political tasks of the district. Typically, the movement "Joining hands to build advanced new rural areas (NTM), model NTM" in the period of 2021-2025, An Thai commune was the first commune in the province to complete the task of building a model NTM commune. The emulation movement to clear land to implement projects received high support and consensus from the people. The emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind" mobilized nearly 3 billion VND to care for the poor. The movements of “Emulation to promote discipline, discipline, administrative reform”, “All people unite to build a cultural life”, “Protecting the environment, building green, clean, beautiful landscapes”... are concerned, directed strongly and have timely support mechanisms and policies. The cultural and social fields are focused on; national defense, security and social order and safety are maintained.

In 2024, Quynh Phu district will continue to thoroughly grasp and widely propagate the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, and President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on emulation and rewards; strengthen the leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels, associated with the responsibility of leaders in organizing patriotic emulation movements with the implementation of political tasks of agencies, units and localities.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved from the emulation movements of Quynh Phu district in 2023. He affirmed: With the spirit of daring to think, daring to speak, daring to do, daring to take responsibility, the Party Committee, government and people of Quynh Phu district are always united, unified, have many creative and flexible ways of doing things in each task, from the movement of donating land to clear the site; traffic infrastructure to building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas... and becoming a bright spot of the province.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, he suggested that Quynh Phu district continue to shape the development trend of the district to have steps and roadmaps to implement according to the provincial planning in a scientific and reasonable manner, thereby launching emulation movements in line with reality. Focus on developing agriculture in the direction of commodities and high technology. Launch more strongly emulation movements in building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas. Promote planning, expand space and develop urban areas, effectively exploit potentials and strengths for economic development. Strengthen state management of natural resources and environmental protection, especially land resources.

He also requested Quynh Phu district to focus on tasks before, during and after Tet, especially ensuring security and order, military recruitment and taking care of Tet for people with meritorious services, the poor and people in difficult circumstances so that everyone can enjoy spring and celebrate Tet thoughtfully and safely.

At the conference, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council awarded the Labor Medal of the President and the Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister to individuals with outstanding achievements in emulation movements. Many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in emulation movements in 2023 were awarded by the Provincial People's Committee and the People's Committee of Quynh Phu district.
