Reporter: Comrade, what requirements does the army set for studying and training according to the spirit of "7 dares"?

Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Ngan: The tradition of the Vietnam People's Army is: "For the people, forget yourself, sacrifice for the people". Of all the choices, sacrifice is the most difficult. The sacrifice of soldiers, whether in wartime or peacetime, cannot be compared or compensated by any salary. The image of soldiers in green uniforms rushing into forest fires to save people, overcoming floods to save people's lives or going straight to the epicenter of the Covid-19 pandemic to support the fight against the epidemic... clearly demonstrates that.

The army is “a special labor sector”, departments maintain working hours 24/24 hours a day, often having to be away from home... Faced with the increasingly high demands of the revolution, every officer and soldier in the entire army must heighten their determination to make the spirit of “7 dares” a regular, long-term task, a driving force, a guide to overcome all difficulties and challenges, and excellently complete all assigned tasks.

Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Ngan: In recent years, the Provincial Military Party Committee has directed 100% of Party committees and Party cells to develop and implement plans to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, in conjunction with the Campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new period. The implementation process always closely follows the resolutions, directives, plans and instructions of the Central Military Commission, the General Department of Politics, the Party Committee of Military Region 2 and the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee to promptly supplement and concretize into programs and plans suitable to reality; closely combining the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle...

The theme of studying and following Uncle Ho in 2024 was determined by the Provincial Party Committee. The Provincial Party Committee and Military Command have led and directed Party committees and organizations at all levels to concretize the content into regular resolutions and plans to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; deploy 100% of cadres and Party members to write a commitment to set an example, cultivate, train and strive during the year with specific actions, associated with assigned responsibilities. Select, build, foster and replicate advanced models in the provincial armed forces; promote propaganda activities through the internal radio system, good people, good deeds... contributing to further beautifying the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new period.

To materialize the spirit of "7 dares", Regiment 254 deployed the model of "3 together, 2 before, 2 after" to promote the exemplary role of cadres and party members.

The implementation of the contents in the spirit of "7 dares" is integrated into the annual emulation movements and peak emulation periods of the Provincial Military Command. Currently, some units have built models of studying and following Uncle Ho closely following related topics, typically in Regiment 254 is the model of "3 together, 2 before, 2 after" to promote the exemplary role of cadres and party members, in which "3 together" is eating, living, and working with soldiers; "2 before" is waking up before and working before soldiers; "2 after" is eating after and sleeping after soldiers.

For the Provincial Military Command, the team of officers who act as assistants, consultants, and help the commanders implement the following criteria: Provide correct, accurate, and effective advice; speak concisely, easily understand, and act immediately.

Besides, in recent times, the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command have attached great importance to setting an example from the Political Commissar and Commander of the Provincial Military Command to each grassroots cadre with the motto "the superiors set exemplary examples, the subordinates actively follow".

Reporter: How meaningful is the thorough understanding and strict implementation of the spirit of "7 dares" in building a comprehensively strong provincial armed force, meeting the requirements of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation, comrade?

Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Ngan: The task of building a comprehensively strong provincial armed force is of great significance in successfully carrying out local military and defense tasks. Building a comprehensively strong unit is associated with building a clean and strong party organization; taking building a strong political foundation, building a clean and strong party organization as the core, and building cadres as the center. Thoroughly grasping and strictly implementing the spirit of "7 dares" is of great significance, directly contributing to building a contingent of cadres who are "both red and professional", meeting the requirements and tasks of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation.

In each working position, each officer and soldier of the provincial armed forces has practical actions, clarifying one of the contents of the spirit of "7 dares".

Reporter: In the coming time, continuing to implement the spirit of "7 dares", what important contents will the Provincial Party Committee and Military Command focus on, comrade?

Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Ngan: First of all, it can be affirmed that the implementation of the spirit of "7 dares" is not just a widespread political activity at a time when the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command have determined that this is a regular "handbook", combined with other forms and methods of education to promote self-education, self-cultivation, and self-training of each cadre and party member. Only when cadres truly "dare" to face their own bad habits, vices, and shortcomings, will they have the motivation to "dare" to contribute and sacrifice for the collective, for the unit, and for the cause of building the army. That is also a way to prevent and repel negative manifestations and degradation in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; effectively prevent and combat "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" in the army.
