Quyen Linh: 'I know everything, except housework'

Quyen Linh admitted that he went everywhere and knew about the most difficult communes, hamlets, and villages, but he knew nothing about housework, his wife took care of everything.

Besides being a host, Quyen Linh also does business and social work. Regarding art, he is the vice president of the Vietnam Cinema Association and participates in the association's annual activities.

He is about to return as an actor in a movie after nearly 20 years of not acting.

My wife does 90% of the housework, I do less than 10%.

On this occasion, Quyen Linh shared with the press about his new plans and busy life.

He said that around September, the movie Two Salts With you in the cast will be released in theaters. The film is directed by Vu Thanh Vinh.

Regarding stopping acting, he explained: "Many friends who work in film invited me to act in films, but I didn't have time because I was too busy with work and social programs.

The social program is not in Ho Chi Minh City, but I always go to remote areas: An Giang, Kien Giang, Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, Yen Bai...

I study film directing, see my friends acting and making movies and miss it so much but don't have time."

Caught up in TV shows, Quyen Linh has long since given up acting in films and plays.

But he is not picky when choosing scripts, but is willing to give advice to the director because he studies directing, acting, and cinematography.

Quyen Linh talks about how his wife supports him in both family and career:

"My wife takes care of everything for the family, I hardly do anything. My wife takes care of 90% of the family matters, I don't even get to do 10%. I don't have time to watch the shows after they're filmed, my wife watches them to give me feedback.

My wife not only takes care of the home front but also supports my career. The outfit I'm wearing today was also prepared by my wife.

I go out and do social work very well. I can do anything, anywhere, go to the ends of the earth, I know every area, from the street corner, the most difficult area, which commune, which village, which hamlet, I know everything. But I don't know anything about housework."

MC admitted that there were small things at home like he didn't know where to put his pants after wearing them, so he searched for two hours and still couldn't find them.

He also often forgets anniversaries. But luckily his two daughters do. Cinderella and Hat De is very thoughtful, recording all the birthdays and anniversaries of the extended family.

He also confessed that he was so busy and tired that he slept as soon as he got home. Just yesterday (July 28), he went to Binh Dinh to film Vietnamese family , flew back to Ho Chi Minh City at 2am, wife is used to it so she doesn't complain.

Quyen Linh is dedicated to his role as Vice President of the Cinema Association.

From today (July 29), he will continuously fly to Hanoi and Nha Trang to prepare for the 2024 tournament scheduled to take place on September 8, 9, and 10 in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa.

He will participate in connecting sponsors and organizing for several hundred artists from the North and South to fly to Khanh Hoa.

"As you know, the Association's work does not have much budget each time it is organized.

If the award ceremony is held in the office, it's fine, but as an artist, I also want my friends and colleagues to be gorgeous on the red carpet and have fireworks during the award ceremony" - Quyen Linh said.

He said he has a special ability: he can be tired and sleepy normally, but when he steps on stage and starts working, he becomes "a completely different Quyen Linh".
