Quang Nam reviews projects related to Thuan An Group

Accordingly, through monitoring on the media, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province grasped information that Thuan An Company and Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thuan An Company violated bidding regulations.

Therefore, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province directed the provincial Departments, Boards, and branches and the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities to urgently direct relevant departments, units, and localities to review constructions and investment projects in the area related to Thuan An Company (contractor, investor).

Previously, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency (C03) initiated a case of violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences; giving and receiving bribes occurring at Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company and related units and organizations.

At the same time, C03 issued decisions to prosecute the accused, arrest warrants for temporary detention and search warrants against Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company, for the crimes of "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences" and "Giving bribes".

Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company, was prosecuted and temporarily detained by C03.

C03 also prosecuted and temporarily detained Mr. Tran Anh Quang, General Director of Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company, for the crime of "Giving bribes".

Mr. Nguyen Khac Man, Deputy General Director of Thuan An Group, was prosecuted and temporarily detained by C03 for "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences" and "Receiving bribes".

The investigation agency also prosecuted and temporarily detained two officials of the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works in Bac Giang Province, including Nguyen Van Thao - Director of the Board and Dam Van Cuong - Deputy Director of the Board for the crime of "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences". Mr. Thao was also investigated for the crime of "Accepting bribes".

Defendant Nguyen Khac Man, Deputy General Director of Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company, was charged with "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences" and "Receiving bribes".

In addition, C03 also prosecuted and detained defendant Hoang The Du, Head of the Project Management Board of Bac Giang province, for the crime of "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences".
