Mr. Nguyen Duc Binh - Director of the Department of Information and Communications launched the emulation movement with the following contents:
1. Promote the responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, leaders of press agencies, and journalists regarding the position, role, and importance of emulation movements in press and media agencies, and highlight the role and responsibility of leaders.
Press and media agencies compete to perform well the tasks of propaganda, encouragement and motivation for people to participate in implementing the goals and tasks of socio-economic development, national defense and security, and building and protecting the Fatherland.
2. There are many outstanding press works promoting patriotic emulation movements; discovering, nurturing, praising, honoring and replicating typical advanced collectives and individuals, good people and good deeds in patriotic emulation movements, in practicing thrift and fighting waste.
Promote the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle according to Conclusion No. 01, dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05, dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo "On promoting the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; Conclusion No. 21, dated October 25, 2021 of the Central Executive Committee on promoting Party building and rectification and the political system; resolutely prevent, repel and strictly handle cadres and party members who have degraded in political ideology, morality, lifestyle, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation".
Reporters, editors, and journalists compete to create high-quality, educational, and effective propaganda journalism works that truthfully reflect social issues and contribute to orienting public opinion.
3. Compete to well implement the Party's regulations and the State's laws on press work and press activities; 10 articles of the Code of Professional Ethics for Vietnamese Journalists; Rules for using social networks for Vietnamese Journalists; strictly comply with the working process and coordination between officials, employees, and collaborators in performing tasks.
Building a cultural environment in press agencies with the aim of building a professional, humane and modern press and media.
4. Actively participate and have press works that win high prizes at the National Press Awards, the Huynh Thuc Khang Press Awards of the province, the Press Awards to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Nam province (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025), the press award on the topic "For national security and peaceful life", the annual media award on Human Rights launched by the Ministry of Information and Communications, and specialized press awards.
5. Compete to innovate content, form, diversify types and publications, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation. Strive for each press agency in the province, during the competition period, to have at least one new program, column, or topic to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
6. Participate in implementing well the emulation targets of the emulation blocks and clusters of agencies and units.
7. Direct and orientate communication in a timely manner so that press and media agencies have high-quality press and communication products and publications that are educational, effective in spreading propaganda, truthfully reflecting social issues, and contributing to orienting public opinion.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Binh said that the emulation campaign aims to create a vibrant competitive atmosphere to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day; review the glorious tradition and important and great contributions of Vietnam revolutionary press in the struggle for national independence, national reunification, building and defending the Fatherland, and implementing the renovation and international integration.
Expressing deep gratitude to generations of journalists who have made many contributions to the revolutionary cause of the nation; strengthening the people's trust in the Party, the State and the socialist regime. Timely encouraging, motivating, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere among all members and journalists to actively participate in professional activities, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of information and press activities in Quang Nam province.
"The Department of Information and Communications launched the emulation campaign, calling on press agencies and grassroots information systems of the province to unite, strive together to overcome all difficulties and challenges, and enthusiastically compete with their strength and intelligence, contributing to promoting the development of Vietnam's revolutionary press in the new period, and successfully implementing all goals, targets and tasks for 2025" - Mr. Binh launched the emulation campaign.
