The reason Quang Nam has not resolved the progress extension at the STO Social Housing Project
The low-income housing area in Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc Industrial Park of STO Company is under investigation, so Quang Nam province has not yet resolved to extend the progress.
The Chairman of Quang Nam Province, Mr. Le Van Dung, has just responded to the request of STO Agriculture and Rural Investment Consulting and Sports Tourism Services Joint Stock Company (STO Company) to extend the progress of the Housing Project for Low-Income People in Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc Industrial Park.
Quang Nam Provincial Inspectorate has transferred all case files related to violations showing signs of intentional violation of the law in this Project to the police investigation agency.
In addition, the case of fraud and property appropriation of Mr. Tran Chien Thang - former Chairman of the Board of Directors of STO Company was also transferred to the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Nam Provincial Police for investigation and clarification.

The Chairman of Quang Nam province said that the case is under investigation and there is no conclusion from the police investigation yet.
Therefore, the proposal to extend the progress and continue to invest in the construction of the Housing Project for low-income people in Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc Industrial Park by STO Company has no basis for consideration and resolution.
The low-income housing project in Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc New Urban Area was approved for construction investment in 2010 and divided into 3 phases with completion deadlines.
The project covers an area of 1,828 hectares, with an investment scale including infrastructure systems, public works, service works and 3,688 apartments with full living facilities, with a total capital of more than 708 billion VND.
According to the Inspectorate of Quang Nam province, the housing project for low-income people in Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc New Urban Area implemented by STO Company has many violations, so the Inspectorate of the province requested the investigation agency to intervene.
STO Company has many violations in project transfer and capital contribution contracts that are not in accordance with regulations. In addition, the investor has implemented contracts with many other units that do not comply with the contract, leading to lawsuits and disputes.
