Investment in good response to teaching of national defense and security education

DTO - On the morning of March 31, the National Defense and Security Education Council of Military Region 9 held an online conference to summarize the work of National Defense and Security education in 2024 and the direction and tasks for 2025.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Dat - Commander of Military Region 9, Chairman of the Military Region's Defense and Security Education Council chaired the conference. According to the assessment of the Military Region 9 Defense and Security Education Council, in 2024, with the attention, leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the Military Region 9 Command, the Military Region 9 Defense and Security Education Council directed the Defense and Security Education Councils at all levels; agencies, units and schools to carry out well the work of defense and security education and exceeded the set targets and plans.

The entire Military Region 9 organized training and updating of national defense and security knowledge for 610 classes, with more than 47,100 people, reaching over 118%, exceeding the set target; National Defense and Security Education Centers taught National Defense and Security Education to more than 28,360 students; political schools, intermediate schools, high schools, and continuing education centers taught National Defense and Security Education to more than 442,270 people.

Dong Thap province is evaluated by the Military Region 9 Defense and Security Education Council as one of the provinces that has done well in the work of defense and security education. In particular, the coordination work of implementing specialized pages and columns to disseminate defense and security knowledge to the entire population on newspapers and radio has been published in more than 600 news and articles; propaganda has been conducted in 868 meetings with more than 51,000 people.
