Chi Linh Son Festival 2025: "Sacred Mother Goddess of the Mountains"

Chi Linh Son Festival is an opportunity to educate the tradition of solidarity, patriotism, and the great contributions of the ethnic people of Lang Chanh district in the Lam Son uprising. Through the activities of the festival, it contributes to preserving, maintaining and promoting the historical and cultural values ​​of the ethnic communities in the district. At the same time, it promotes the potential and advantages of tourism development in the district, including the Nang Cat - Thac Ma Hao Community Eco-tourism Area to attract tourists, investment resources and business in the field of tourism development.

More than 600 years ago, in the spring of Mau Tuat year 1418, Le Loi raised the flag of uprising against the invading Ming invaders in Lam Son mountain forest. On the way to repel the Ming invaders, the insurgents encountered numerous difficulties, especially in the early stages of the uprising, because the forces were not proportional, the insurgents often had to endure the sweeping attacks of the Ming invaders, greatly depleting their forces. Faced with the siege and relentless search of the Ming army, Le Loi decided to withdraw all of the insurgent forces from Lam Son land and advance deeper into the Chi Linh mountain area. Being fiercely surrounded by the enemy in order to capture the commander Le Loi, Le Lai changed his clothes, risked his life to save his lord and sacrificed himself. Thanks to that heroic sacrifice, Le Loi and the insurgents were relieved and continued to prepare the necessary conditions for a long-term fight against the Ming army.

The mountainous forests of Chi Linh with their rugged terrain were taken refuge by Le Loi and his army three times in 1418, 1419, and 1422. During this time, Le Loi and the Lam Son army, together with the mountainous forests of Chi Linh and the ethnic people in the Lang Chanh area, supported each other and fought together against the enemy.

Chi Linh - Lang Chanh became a beautiful symbol of the spirit of enduring sacrifice and hardship, the determination to liberate the nation. In 1428, the Lam Son uprising won, ending the domination of the Ming invaders, the country was liberated, the nation gained independence. In the majestic atmosphere of the victory day, Le Loi read the "Binh Ngo Dai Cao" summarizing the war, affirming the national sovereignty of a nation with thousands of years of history. In that war, the mountains, forests, rivers and people of Lang Chanh contributed an extremely important part to the great victory.

Art program with many special performances.

Right after the drumbeat to open the festival, delegates and people enjoyed an art program with the theme “The Sacred Mother of the Upper Realm”. The program was connected by many unique art performances, honoring the worship of the Mother of the Upper Realm and commemorating the great contributions of national heroes Le Loi, Le Lai and the Lam Son insurgents, and the people of all ethnic groups in Lang Chanh district in the wars to protect the country.

Within the framework of the activities to celebrate this year's festival, Lang Chanh district organized a series of cultural, sports and tourism activities including: organizing booths to display local specialties; competitions in the following sports: men's volleyball, crossbow shooting, stick pushing, shuttlecock throwing, tug of war; "Chau Lang Beauty" contest; organizing field trips to tourist attractions in the district.
