Hai Ba Trung District launched the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run

The launching ceremony took place at Thong Nhat Park with the participation of representatives of relevant units, officials, civil servants, employees, workers, people of 15 wards and students of schools in the district.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of Hai Ba Trung District People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Hien highlighted the significance of the Olympic Running Day for the health of all people, which has been launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism nationwide since 2015. This is the inheritance and promotion of the thought "A strong people makes a prosperous country" of President Ho Chi Minh.

Over the years, Hai Ba Trung district has always maintained its position as one of the leading districts in Hanoi in terms of sports development, building many strong teams to contribute to the sports movement of Hanoi. Sports are developed equally and widely in all residential areas, ages, classes of people, workers, armed forces, students.

The organization and launch of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025 and the launch of the Olympic Running Day for the health of all people aim to raise awareness and action of all levels, sectors, and people in the district in self-training, participating in the sports movement, contributing to improving the physical fitness of people to better serve their study, work, production, and build a cultural, healthy, and civilized lifestyle.

Vice Chairwoman of the District People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Hien affirmed that the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run is a widespread sports tournament in the capital, with the longest tradition among sports tournaments in Vietnam as well as Hanoi; expressing her hope that the district will achieve high results in this year's season.
